I played with this mouthpiece on a Yamaha 321 for 3 years in high school. I had previously used a Bach 12C, and moved onto a large shank SM4 in college. Some people will tell you 6 1/2 AL is too small for a euphonium, but I found it to be a wonderful match for small shank horns like the 321. The bulk of my musical learning occurred on this mouthpiece. Even after switching euphonium mouthpieces, I continued to use this on my pBone.As for the sound, it has a fairly bright tone in the mid to upper range, but can be used to play with some power below the staff. Quickly playing through my entire range on euphonium was never too difficult on the megatone.
