I had used a Schilke 51D mouthpiece on my Yamaha 641S euphonium for a few years with no complaints, but was struggling with overall control and upper registers as I got older. A band director loaned me Yamaha 48L, which is very similar to the mouthpiece I used in my much younger years. and I found that it made the 641S seem more responsive, and helped with hitting higher notes, so I bought one. So far, it's working out great.

It has dents and nicks on the mouth section, I still can use it, but it should have been told
