Do not buy if you are hoping for after sale support! We bought 2 of these gates and used them for a while. Then put them into storage but now would like to use the gates again. Unfortunately, a couple of small plastic parts got lost during the move. Amazon is pointing us to the manufacturer for support but the Baby Bond support team are not responding. We are happy to pay for the parts but instead are stuck with $150+ of items that cannot be re-used because of couple of small parts that went missing. Buy a new one from the same company? I think not. Thanks!

I liked how easy this was to install and use. However, my ten month old has figured out how to open it and escape. As a result, we will no longer be able to use it.

We love this retractable gate. We got it to keep our 1 year-old toddler from climbing the stairs. It was easy to install and can be installed over sheetrock if there is wood behind it (as in this framed doorway). It works great, and even our 5 year-old can use it by herself. And when it is open, you hardly even know it's there! We highly recommend!

Looks very modern but the bottom doesn’t lock on a baseboard. We can only use the top. Hard to install.

I bought this to keep my dog from going into my mom's space in my home. It works great. Initially she had a little trouble opening and closing it. She's 83 and was overthinking it. After a few tries, she has it mastered. I tried another regular type baby gate first and hated it. Sent it back. This looks great, very unobtrusive, and I love that it retracts and disappears into the wall!

I am no novice when it comes to hanging and assembling things and this took me almost an hour to hang. It would be way easier with a second person because the retractability of the gate is INTENSE but I was on my own, so I forged ahead.I thought i'd try using this first at the top of our staircase where the floor is carpeted and after hanging the main piece I see that it is not straight. Unless the stickies rip off of the wall and I can rehang it, I guess it is what it is. Speaking of the stickies, it's virtually impossible to press on them hard enough to get all of the air out.So, we will see if they hold. More than I wanted to spend for a gate for our dog but she's 15 years young and you gotta do what you gotta do lolAlso a valid question, if neither the punch free or screwed methods can be used on drywall (it says this in the manual), how can the average person even use this?Update: Top tore off of the wall within the first half hour of use. Got an angry call and an "i told you so" along with it. Back on the gate hunt.

I installed this in my office at my business' location to keep my dog from sprinting to the front door every time we receive a delivery. Most of our delivery people know my dog is super friendly, but I know it can be unsettling to see a dog running full speed at you, so the gate was a good move.It was insanely easy to install, looks and works great as well. I decided to screw it into our wall for more security, and its very sturdy. The locking mechanism would be super handy if you have kids, but my dog won't be able to unhook the gate, so I don't have to use it. I will probably buy a one or two more for our home, and I will definitely be suggesting these to friends.

Pretty seamless solution that is sturdy, easy to open/close one-handed, perfect height to step over (we’re both around 5’7) for a quick back and forth, and it tucks always nicely when we’re not using it.Install was trickier since the husband had a specific idea how he wanted it. So we added some big anchors and drilled the round plastic to disperse the weight. See photos. Our 13 month old is a climber, so we wanted to be sure it was solid and the instructions said not to mount to drywall only.Glad we got it. I would get it again.

The baby gate is a quality item. It was easy to install and very functional. The gate is sturdy and very sleek. The gate takes up far less space than a traditional baby gate.
