Concerned About Your DUEDE Water Tank?

Do not worry if you notice staining on the bottom of your DUEDE’s stainless steel water tank that resembles discolored dots. This is not mold or rust. Give it a google! - It is a normal and harmless buildup of calcium carbonate minerals called limescale.Heating up water will directly result in limescale. Depending on the mineral concentration in water, limescale is inevitable with all stainless steel. It is not a cause for concern, despite discoloring and affecting the aesthetics. Calcium carbonate does not dissolve easily in water which is why soap and water will not remove the deposits - you need a mixture containing vinegar. Clean your water tank as following:

· Pour 1 cup vinegar into water tank and let it sit overnight

· Pour out vinegar by putting appliance upside down

· Repeat as necessary until clean

· Once clean, run 2 steam cycles with plain water to rinse out the vinegar

I had been browsing for different options for baby food makers and came across this one. Especially for this price, so far this one is fantastic! It's very simple to use, easy to clean, and it steams the food well. The blending option also works exceptionally well. I used it to turn a bag of sweet potatoes into a puree, which I then used to fill pouches for my daughter. It was super easy to use, and the puree that comes out of the pouches I filled is the perfect consistency to meet my needs. I'm excited to try different foods, and I love how the instructions include different steaming times for different foods. I also have used it to make berry smoothies for my daughter, and it blends everything very well!

This is one of the most useful product for working mom/dad. It makes the lift extremely easy to make the food for the little ones. We have 7 months old twins and we love the ease of use of this product. Only complaint I have is that sometimes it is little difficult to place the blade back after the use.

I bought this puree maker back in July. It works really good. Everything was great until the blender had a crack in the bottom, don’t know how that happened. So the water would come out when I blend the food, and yesterday I noticed spots inside where you put the water. It looks mold to me. It did smell funny to me as well but after taking the pic looks like mold got worse yesterday was just few spots and now there’s more. I don’t know if this happened to anyone else. Upset that this happened
