I love this mirror, it is very sturdy and wide. Just the right size and what I was looking for to keep an eye on my little one while on the road. I love how it comes with the light for nighttime trips. Was very easy to install.

I bought this as new, but it came with a cracked mirror and light doesn't work.

We loved it at first but it hasn’t been long and our toddler hit the mirror with a small plastic dinosaur and the mirror cracked immediately.

Great design. The mirror is crystal clear. We love being able to look at our little man from the front seat. We hardly use the light feature though. The battery goes pretty quick and we can’t be bothered to take the mirror in and out of the car to charge in the house so often. I wish it was battery operated.

I have long wanted a good car seat mirror to be able to check on babies in the second seat. I have had a few of those cloth-type, padded-backing ones, but, although probably my fault, I could never get them to stay in place and couldn't see well when they were adjusted correctly. After getting this, I then thought about whether these mirrors are safe (whoops - should have done that the other way around). Looking them up, most experts I read say that the real danger is looking back too long or at the wrong time thus taking your eyes off the road and getting into an accident. Fair enough, as my first look at a baby monitor is to stare at it to make sense of what I am seeing. So that is why any potential car seat mirror I review will only get a maximum of 4 stars. Just having one in the car may be a safety issue by distracting the driver. Safety will depend primarily on how self-disciplined you are in using it. It is foremost in my mind right now but I hope that if I start looking at it too often, I will just take it out. There is a chance of it becoming a projectile or shattering and parts of it becoming a projectile. Further, there have been a couple reports of sun hitting the mirror in a certain way and causing the car seat to smoke (these happened while the car was parked). As my windows are tinted and have shades and with the positioning of the mirror, I decided there was little to no chance of that in my car.Having said all that, I am able to see the baby (Elmo) in the mirror very well - which is great as that means I will more likely look at it for just a miniscule glance. {see pic taken from the drivers seat]. I really like this view and how the mirror it stays in place. It very securely attaches via clips to the headrest supports (hence your head rest might be up about an inch or so which did not affect visibility out the back when located on the side headrest in my car). I did not test it in the middle headrest as shown in the seller's pictures as I usually have another kid in a high, forward-facing car seat there. Because it is attached to a "ball" the mirror can be rotated in any direction (you can choose to see a side-to-side or up-and-down view or anything in-between). The mirror attaches to the clip arms via the ball that goes through a "fixing nut." See the picture of the included manual if that doesn't make sense. It might be a good idea to make sure this fixing nut is still tight from time to time. The seller's description states that the mirror is "shatterproof" and lists its special feature as "shatter-resistant." It also says it is "tested and certified." I could not find any information at all on the certification of these types of mirrors in the US.I have another version of this without the light. Because of the sun shades on my car, it is hard to see the baby in the mirror even in the daytime. The light does help with this somewhat. See the pics of Emme with and without the light. It works on a rechargeable battery (no other batteries but that would probably make the mirror much heavier, this way it is pretty light). So sorry for the long winded review. I got carried away but there is a lot to think about when switching from a soft, cloth-like mirror to a firm one like this.

It was what I expected, I already left an old camera that I had in my car and that had left my glass muddy with silicone, thanks to this new product for that, now I have my front glass clean. And I can also see my son while I take a long trip. It will only take two minutes to install, I hope of good quality.

Baby mirrors can be very expensive and the local box stores don't always have the best selection. Bought this one and we are very happy with it.

My main concern about these mirrors was the sun reflecting causing a fire, but this has been safe. The light is so helpful, it is rechargeable so no need to keep it plugged in.
