The video is great, but there is no night vision. I can never see my daughter in the car when it’s dark. These were also a more expensive option so I’m disappointed.

This monitor is very easy to attach to any portion of the car. Installation literally only took minutes. The video quality is also good and the night vision is a great plus. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy, hands free way of monitoring anything in their vehicle while driving.

I gave my son and daughter-in-law a Baby Car Camera for Christmas. (They have three children under six and one on the way.) My daughter-in-law’s response was perfect. She said, “Now I can see our kids without changing my rear view mirror.” I asked her, yesterday, how she likes it now that she’s used it for a while. She told me, “It has a clear image and plenty of cord length to mount the camera and not get in the way of the bigger kids when they climb in and out.” That’s what I was hoping for. From my perspective, I think it has added a major safety feature to their car. She can quickly glance at the screen and then back on the road with minimum distractions. And kids will always cause distractions. Since my wife and I want to be able to use it when we have the grandkids, I bought a cell phone holder that attaches to the windshield using a suction cup. That way we can easily switch it between vehicles. The monitor mount that comes with it is sturdy, but not designed for moving around. Both our families are very pleased with the product.

Edit - the night vision is terrible. I cannot see my child at all in the dark. See new photo for reference. Returning and buying a different brand with proven night vision.I like this car camera, it helps me have much less anxiety while driving with my newborn infant. It was extremely easy to install, it just clips on to the metal piece of my head rest on the back seat. Some cars don’t have those metal bases so double check your car before purchasing this model. I like the display it’s is pretty clear and a great size for the phone holder vent attachment that I already had. I knocked off one star because I don’t like the stand that comes with the monitor that you have to permanently stick to your dashboard. I would have preferred a suction to stick to the windshield. It has pretty good night vision and apparently it records but I have not used that function yet. Overall it’s a pretty good camera, it keeps eyes on my baby at all times and I would purchase again.

The BM3 model is solidly built, cleverly engineered, and requires no wiring into the car’s electrical system, other than plugging an adaptor into the dashboard’s 12-volt outlet. The camera’s bracket clasps securely to a headrest’s metal post and keeps the camera from shaking while driving. The lens is sharp and provides 1x, 2x, and 3x zoom by the repeated pressing of a single button on the monitor. Even at 3x zoom, I was able to view the full width of the car. Placing the bracket on a back seat’s headrest and adjusting the camera angle allowed me to view a rear-facing car seat perfectly.The monitor displays a clear well-focused image during the day. But it’s very dark at night, the image can be somewhat grainy. The default brightness setting generally works well and the unit also lets you dim or brighten the display under different ambient light conditions.When you turn the camera on, it records continuously on an included 16Gb microSD card. The card can be removed easily (by pressing the spring-loaded mechanism) to suppress the automatic recording or to transfer the short jpeg files to a computer. When the card is full, it overwrites the oldest recording automatically and continues without needing user-intervention.The wires connecting the power adaptor to the camera and to the monitor are very long. This lets you position the camera on second-row or third-row seat headrests and to run the wires under the floor mats or around the underside edges of the dashboard for protection.The monitor stand requires a flat surface since it uses two-sided tape to adhere to it. I would hope that the next version (BM4?) replaces it with a suction cup mount that allows the monitor to be mounted on the windshield instead. Other than that, I was very pleased with the unit and would recommend it.

Finally gave in and bought a van, Chrysler Pacifica love it. It has a Uconnect FamCam feature that has a video feed of the back two rows and a zoom feature. BUT either I'm unaware of the settings or there isn't a way to make the camera show the front of my kiddos only an aerial view. If my kids were older fine but the youngest is 19 Months and soon we'll have a newborn. This camera is great. In our SUV we have a different brand that isn't as stable, it straps to the headrest. This one clips to the little headrest pole and won't budge even over speed bumps. It also can see around the fire monitors that flip up on the seats, just had to raise the headrest a bit. The connection was super simple with the directions but I didn't see a 12V outlet in the Pacifica so we had to get an adapter (12V female to male USB-C) and it works perfect! The picture is crystal clear and the angle is perfect I can actually see both seats in the 2nd and partial of the 3rd rows. It also has a record feature but I don't plan to use that. Worth the $89 this is a great camera. Hopefully it lasts a long time 🤞.
