I like that it had an on/off button and a flashing light to indicate it operating correctly. Well built. Great value for the price. Very easy to install.

I've had pricier electric fence energizers, but I've never had one at this price point that packs this much punch. I have goats and very stubborn livestock guardian dogs and there is always ONE that decides that the zap of the electric fence is worth whatever is on the other side. Not this one! Touched the fence by accident and now I'm mindful too! It's easy to set up, and has a lot of great features you see on more expensive but less powerful boxes, like the ring connectors for your wires and an actual on/off button. You can use battery (or solar if you're technically minded) or plug it into the wall, and the ground vs fence terminals are obvious at a glance. It's got multiple options for orienting how it's hanging, and you can take it down and take it with you if you use moveable fencing (I rotate my goats and this makes it SO much easier). It'll energize 30 miles of fencing, which should get you a pretty large paddock depending on how many wires you're powering. Honestly, one of the best energizers I've had.

I really like this “Andmon b220 2.2Joule Electric Fence Energizer with Dual Power Input” charger. It’s plenty powerful, and a great value as fence chargers go. We’re using it on AC power, we’ll use the car battery hookup if we lose power for a long time. I like the dual power ability.This unit is powering a horse paddock with about 2000 linear feet of 2-inch ribbon. We use 3 ribbons horizontally, the lowest ribbon is about 12 inches off the ground, second is 36, the last is 48 inches up. We power from one end. At the end of the run, I still get a very high reading on the tester (10.5kv). This fence charger keeps the fence charged, even when the grass grows a little too tall.We keep the charger protected from weather all the times. Three times in the past several weeks, I’ve found the green light not blinking (no fence charge pulse). I’ve tried unplugging the unit and powering back. Not it. I played with the power switch, and after cycling the switch, the unit comes back on. It may just be a bad switch, or the soft weatherproof switch cover. We using it for containing an older horse that understands what the ribbon is, so there have been no attempted escapes. Truthfully, I don’t see this as a bad reflection on the manufacturer. I will be ordering another at full price in the next few weeks for a separate area.I’m giving it 4 stars; it lost one for the power switch. Still a great value.

LOL. It should for sure keep what you want in and what you don't want in out! But feel free to grab it if you feel the need to test it out! LOL. Or be smart and use a tester meter LOL.I've used my fair share of electric fence chargers in my lifetime, properly hooked up and powered they work great! And don't forget to use good mhigh quality electric fence wire, no sense in having a good charger to reduce it's effectiveness trying to save a few bucks on the wire!This is versatile being you can plug it in or run it off a battery, you can use a solar charger too. I would run that into a battery then hook the battery to charger. This has an interesting hook up for the hot wire from the charger to the fence. I've honestly never seen a hook on like this before. The jury is still out on that aspect for me. I may just do a diff wire/clamp setup for that so I'm assured of a good solid connection. And don't forget to ground the fence if you want it to work properly!This is a good charger but the on/off switch on the bottom is awkward and I'm short! LOL. But still glad it has one and once you learn where it is it's not that difficult. I'll use a nice outdoor weatherproof metal electrical box to house it in to protect it.Regular price $ 79.98 per the listing for the 1 that does 30 miles of fencing, on sale $ 71.98 and it's a good pricepoint. But still watch for sales/coupons, browse listings... to find your best deal for your needs.As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed.
