Works great in windows 10. I did not use the cd disc. I found c-media drivers on the on another website. I first used the driver only and did not run the install. That worked fine. Then upon installing the rest of the driver. This installed the PCI 3d audio configuration. Only some of the settings work. I'm not surprised on this. The drivers states for windows 8.1 but the audio panel I downloaded is from 2012. One of my channels on my motherboard died. So I disabled the onboard chip. Then install this card.

Drivers weren't automatically installed for the card. I put the disk in and ran "setup.exe". That did not work. I then opened the 'Win10' folder on the disk and ran "setup.exe" from there. A driver installed and I was prompted to restart the computer. I did so, and the card worked well. The card does have to be installed for the driver setup to work. I tried to run setup without the card installed and was prompted to first install the card then run setup. My PC has 4 speakers and all four (L,R, L surround, R surround) responded correctly from the 'PCI 3D audio configuration' app that installed itself at the same time as the driver was installed. After reading all the negative reviews, I was expecting a difficult time. However, I was pleasantly surprised. My Windows 10 has the most recent updates.

For one - why is there no website for Driver installation? A lot of setups now, do not have a disc drive. I had to pull the installation files and put them on a USB to install. So that was super annoying. After I got the drivers registered and installed, there was no sound control through the "Software" - got no audio output or input. My computer is reading the hardware and software and nothing works. This was just for a project - so I don't NEED high-end, but for computers....this is why you ALWAYS go high-end. Too much cheap crap out there. Returning and going with Asus or something.

Installed the sound card on a Supermicro server motherboard, I used the setup disk that came with the card and tried to install the device. The software would not install, so I had to open the software and go to the windows 10 folder and open the program folder and install. After that I restarted the computer and everything works.

I have worked on PCs for 20 years and I could not get this product to operate 5.1 channels , therefore a waste of money for me as It was to offer those channels and it did not work return was such a hassle with no printer at this time , i threw it in the recycle bin . My loss I guess :(

The Mounting bracket was too large for a small size computer. The Audio card works very well in the pci-e slot-1.

Card arrived quickly thanks to Prime, however it was not detected in the 3rd pcie slot of my Mac Pro. Had to move to the 4th slot to get it to be detected. Software (driver) installation was easy peasy and after a reboot we tested it out on my sons gaming headset. Unfortunately the left and right channels were switched plus there was low level white noise. Same white noise issue as I had with a Creative Labs card a couple months ago actually. I tried what I could but after 20 minutes I packed it back up and returned it. Trying a USB based "soundcard" next...
