This awning arrived way ahead of when the listing said it would, big plus. Brackets are good, solid metal. The friend that installed it for me and does light construction was impressed with the product, how it's made.

This canopy is so highly functioning. No more dripping, and no more frozen door mat to slip on and as is that weren't enough, it is easy to install and so beautiful too.

the center connections should have a better way to stabilize the unit. and it is a must to have two people do the install, they provide cement type anchor bolts which would be fine if you have cement walls, but the majority of these are going to go to facia boards and so you need at least two inch lag bolts which will fit in the predrilled unit holes....that said so far so good hoping the winds on the coast don’t prove me wrong

Overall this is a good awning. Awnings in general are somewhat tacky and this was the best option I could find to protect an exposed window from the elements. Shipping was about a month, as expected, and the boxes arrived in good shape with no damage to any parts. Tracking was vague and one day they just showed up without warning. Luckily I was home.Assembly was fairly easy, tho the screws to hold the frame pieces together were very tight to install and I did open the holes a bit. I went with the 24x24 size and pieced 5 units together to give me one long awning. Installation takes a bit of thought but I put up one section and then built off of it with each successive section (this method leaves you with extra brackets left over). Due to the surface the awing was installed on, I did need to add washers as spacers behind the brackets in several locations so that the front of the awning (at the gutter) was level. One person can install these by themselves, but a second set of hands would make it easier. As for the mounting hardware, large specialty bolts are included but you may need to buy ones that match your particular application. I went with 1/4x3" stainless steel lag bolts with specialty spacers (3D printed) because I didn't want such giant holes drilled into my house. Expect that you may need to spend money on the correct mounting hardware, which is not unreasonable. In time I expect the polycarbonate panels to degrade (the packaging says they last 10 years) but those could easily be replaced as needed, possibly with more UV resistant acrylic. My guess is they'll last about 3 years before looking bad but the window needed a solution and it's a lot cheaper to replace awning sections than dealing with window repairs.

The instructions are very confusing and the color of the shade is slightly greenish blue. Cheap!

This awning looks great but not because of the ease of installation. Yes, there is a video that can help but they go too fast and not good at showing the minute details of the install. The wall anchors were not appropriate to our home’s siding so we had to make a trip to the hardware store for supplies. Because our install was several feet off the ground and our awning was in two sections it was tricky to slide and set the two together while on ladders. As well to level, mark and drill holes for attaching to the house. But, once done, it seems to be of good quality, provides a soft shading where needed, and looks very attractive. (Had recently cut down pine trees for fire safety but missed the shade properties). I imagine one section would be fairly easy to install but with more than one prepare to scratch your head. It’s doable but give yourself time to think it through and have a partner handy if construction is not your bag.

It is strong, sturdy and good looking. Love how it looks. Easy to assemble and install. It even came with concrete anchors.

the sellotape tape marks on plastic sheets when covering is removed very difficult to get off! Very difficult to screw pieces together, you will need to pilot hole first. looks very nice when finished, you will definitely need a lot of patience to put together if you want to buy this product.
