Purchased this because our other radio broke and i decided to get this one because it looks nice we'll looks can be deceiving. The sound quality is so bad when I first purchased this i had to return it because it had missing parts. Until I can afford to purchase a different brand I will be stuck with this bad sound quality radio system. Our radio worked and had magnificent sound quality before we purchased this one.

The dash replacement radio comes with a full wiring harness, instructions and a back up camera to allow you to swap out the stock head unit radio in your jeep for one that allows you to do Apple CarPlay or android auto. It was easy to install after removing some of the trim on the dash and retains the radio functionality too. It sounded good through the stock speakers and was pretty responsive on the screen. You can also fit the back up camera and when you put the car into reverse see what is behind you. Overall a great value for money upgrade

The radio in my Jeep Wrangler stopped working. This was an old school radio not a touch screen. I decided to replace it with a touch screen radio with Apple car play. After researching for awhile, and not wanting to spend a fortune, I decided on this Awesafe touch screen radio. As a bonus it came with a backup camera which my Jeep didn't have. All in all a good radio. The instructions were a little vague but if you take your time it's not too bad. Watch the video. Very helpful as you have to take off some dash pieces to get the OEM radio out. The wire harnesses it comes with is plug and play. The directions for the backup camera left a lot to be desired. The directions state to connect the red lead coming off the video plug to the reverse wire going to the canbus. I did not do this. I just plugged the female video plug harness into the radio and the male video plug into that. On the other end of the cord, the end that goes to the back of the Jeep, I tapped into my reverse light and connected to the red lead and a ground wire to the black lead. You will need to research to find what color wire it is. Then I plugged the camera into that cord. Another thing to mention is that you will need to purchase some kind of mount for the camera. I bought one for $45 that goes onto the spare tire holder then the spare goes over it. The camera pokes through a wheel spoke. One issue I had was the camera that came with the radio projected guide lines that curved to the right even when the wheel was straight. They would move back and forth when backing up with no rhyme or reason. I reached out to customer support and was contacted by Amy. I must say she was great and over the course of many days stayed with me. She offered various things to try and asked for screen shots. After multiple tries she set me a new camera and cable. I tried to plug the new camera into the line I already installed but it didn't work. Before I ripped out the line I had installed I reached out to Amy who got back to me and asked me to use the cable that came with the new camera. I hot wired it to test and it worked. The guide lines the new camera projects are straight and stay straight even when turning. That's ok because there are orange guide lines that appear when turning I believe generated by the radio and these lines work as they're supposed to. To sum it up, it's a great radio for the money (I have nothing to compare it to cause I've never had a touch screen before), installation was fairly straightforward but directions not great. If you have some mechanical aptitude you should be fine, if the backup camera has curved guidelines you may need a "different" one, and you need a camera mount if you don't already have a camera you're replacing.

The bracket is stamped upside down. If you’re installing on 1st gen jk 07-10 dash you will remove the center dash, and install only the bracket that mounts the radio. It comes apart with force. Then you put the big trim back on and connect all your wires and push radio into bracket. Took way too long to figure it out. Make sure the bracket that hold radio is upside down or the radio wont fit when you put upper dash part on. Overall it’s a 9/10 radio it’s fast and lots to customize. Has 3 rca outputs which is nice at the price point. The system isn’t too slow and keeps up with what you ask. Wish it had more audio controls but I use amps so it is what it is. Overall I’m happy with it came with camera and mic. Just wish I knew what install was gonna be like. It’s all plug and play though.

Upgrading my Jeep Wrangler JK with the AWESAFE Car Radio Stereo has been a transformative experience, blending modern tech and practicality into my ride. Whether it’s the large 9–10-inch touchscreen or the seamless integration with CarPlay and Android Auto, this system makes every drive more enjoyable and convenient. The installation process was a mixed bag. While the pre-wired harness helped simplify things, the sparse instructions required some heavy reliance on YouTube tutorials. Wiring the backup camera took a bit of trial and error but ultimately worked flawlessly. If you’re planning to install this yourself, allocate a few hours and ensure you have basic tools ready. This stereo comes equipped with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage, which offers decent performance for its price point. While the system is generally responsive, some noticeable lag occurs when switching between apps or menus, especially over WiFi. However, connecting via USB improved the experience significantly. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto were standout features, delivering smooth functionality with minimal delay. The bright and clear screen made navigation a breeze, whether through the built-in GPS (complete with offline maps) or music and app interfaces. The backup camera integration is a game-changer, offering a wide-angle view with guide lines for effortless parking. The system also worked seamlessly with my steering wheel controls, adding convenience to my drives.Sound quality saw an improvement over the factory stereo, with better overall clarity. However, adjusting bass, treble, and midrange didn’t yield dramatic results. Serious audiophiles might find the system’s audio adjustment options limiting. There were a few quirks to iron out. Adjusting volume across different inputs (Bluetooth, Android Auto) required delving into settings. Additionally, there’s no SiriusXM antenna hookup, so satellite radio fans will need to rely on streaming via CarPlay or Android Auto. This stereo is a fantastic upgrade for Jeep, Dodge, or Grand Cherokee owners seeking to modernize their vehicles. It combines everyday functionality, a clean interface, and solid features like GPS and backup camera support. However, users should weigh its occasional lag and limited audio adjustability against its affordability and convenience. For casual users or those prioritizing hands-free functionality and navigation, this stereo hits the mark. For tech-savvy or audio-obsessed buyers, some of its limitations may be a dealbreaker.

I installed this radio in my 2012 Wrangler. The wires are not labed clearly. Most of it is plug and play, but you will have to make one connection. For the rear camera, you have to jump the 3rd wire of the main plug to the red camera wire. Trust me, YouTube it. The camera has no instructions. The red and black wires on the camera attach to your white and black wires of your reverse lights. There isn't a plug or anything for this. You have to wire it up. As others have said, it does work seemlessly with your steering wheel controls. The video that the instructions reference is hot garbage. Throw it away and find another. Go into the vehicle settings and enter 000000 in the FACTORY menu. This will allow you to adjust the volume amp setting. The reason for this is that the volume will be crazy quiet/loud depending on the factory worker that checked it. Adjust to your liking. Also, check the volume input of your bluetooth. If you don't, your apps like Pandora, Spotify, etc will be way quieter than your normal radio function. Shortcut Tip: Swipe down on the screen and hit the speaker button to mute. This comes in handy since it takes a while using the steering wheel controls to turn the volume down. I did notice improved audio quality with this setup. It's not going to blow your mind or anything, but it is better. Also, be sure to check your vehicle to see if you have the amp or not. I'm going to try and make this understandable. The wiring harness that comes with the radio has a plug that has to be placed into a receving plug. Clarification, the wiring harness that comes with the radio has to be set up for your car. There is one plug on the harness for one of two options. You either have an amp or you don't. Plug this up accordingly and you will be ready to install. It's not a 5 minute job. I've done lots of installs and this one is up there on the difficulty level. Again, your friend is named YouTube and you should let your friend help a lot.
