Bought this to have an affordable rod to keep in my truck to use when fishing spots present themselves on my travels. The rod is very light but also sturdy. Haven't had a chance to fish with it but practiced with it some in the yard and very much like the feel of the rod. Some rods I pick up I just don't like. This isn't one of those. Highly recommend if you're looking for an entry level rod that breaks down into a compact package you can put behind the truck seat.

I purchased the Aventik Whisperer fly rod in 6' length 0/1 line weight. Very nice rod for the price. With an Orvis Hydros Superfine weight forward 1 weight line, it casts smoothly. Not a great distance rod, but in the range where a 1 weight rod is designed for, it casts smoothly and accurately. I used it in a bluegill pond that has some pretty big gills, and the rod handled them easily. I own a lot of fly rods (30?) and some are expensive rods from highly rated builders, and this rod fits well into my collection. Sometimes you just get more than you pay for.

Flyrod works well for the price point and quality on the market.

This 3/4 weight casts very well. I had no issues with the reel seat with the particalar reel I'm using as some had mentioned with the reels they were using in the reviews. If you're looking for a beginner flyrod that won't break the bank I highly recommend these rods.

Let me begin by certifying that this is an unbiased review. I am an avid flyfisherman and I use my gear heavily. A while back I decided to try one of the Aventik stalker rods and it proceeded to become my go to rod for trout in most any scenario. I fished it fro every thing from Coastal cutthroat her on the Claifornia coast to wild West Slope cutthroat in Idaho. After breaking my first rod I decided to try out the whisperer combo and I was not disappointed. This rod has the fit and finish quality of any big name rod out there, I love the burgundy blank, and has all the features you’d expect from a high end rod. It has a great bend and medium-fast action, but enough butt section to turn around an 18” in tight quarters when you need it(just had this happen a week or so ago)! Aventik also has customer service that exceeds that of many of the big rod companies in my opinion. When i contacted them they reaponed promptly and informed me thst I could replace any broken section of the rod for a $10 shipping charge, or $30 for 7day delivery. As you can see I have already put a lot of nice fish in the net with this rod, but lets not forget the reel. I found it also to be surprisingly solid. The drag has a smooth release and is relatively adjustable compared to a lot of low cost reels. It felt similar to an entry level Ross like a flystart 1. I had some small issues with clearance on the spool occasionaly, with the fly line passing onto the wrong side of the spool but with the quick release tab it was not a major issue. The fly line felt a little under weighted for my preference, but might be ok for dry fly fishing. I line these rods with a 4wt wf floating line, i find they cast really well with a heavier line that really loads the rod and do a lot of single hand spey casting in tight quarter streams. My only real complaint about this rod is the change to a non-thread locking reel seat. The reel did not sit tightly and I had to put some medical tape on the feet of the reel so that it would lock firmly, and had one instance where the reel came loose during fishing. That only happened once though in many hours on the water, but I moss the threaded reel seat of the Stalker rod.Overall, you need this kit in your quiver! The nippers are sweet, the rod case is also solid. Throw the flies away but the little box is sweet actually. This rod crushes the big name rodsreels that you'd pay $500+ to have the same gear. Aventik is solid, now order this kit and get out on the water and have some fun!!

I mostly fly fish in Colorado and Wisconsin where there are small streams and I normally use a Cabela's travel rod that's a 3 weight but 8'6" long. A couple of weeks ago I ran into a guy with an 6' 3 weight and really liked it. His was a bamboo rod that was cost about $3k, and of course I didn't want to spend that much.I looked around a lot for a shorter rod and finally decided on this one. I got the 2/3 weight 6'8" version and it's really a nice rod for about $60. Fishing in mountain streams and spring creeks, I need a shorter rod that's easy to pack and this one fit the bill. My cabelas travel rod is 5 pieces and comes in a case that's about 25" long. This one is 4 piece and comes in a nice case that's about 23" long, so it's easy to pack either in a small suitcase or my motorcycle saddle bags..I didn't expect a lot since I'm not going to be doing much more than roll casting in the streams where I fish, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this rod. It is well made, has a nice cork handle and what looks like a wooden seat for the reel. It's fast action which is perfect for what I do and the only thing that surprised me is that the reel seat is just a single ring of metal. In my other rods, the seat screws in place to keep the rod tight.I was disappointed for a few minutes, but when I mounted the reel, the ring fit right over it and the mounting was solid. I tried a few casts in the back yard with an Aventik 2/3 weight preloaded reel and it felt very good. I was able to cast about 40 feet with no problems. I'm not someone who does 70-80' casts, so this is fine for me.Overall, the price is right, it's a quality rod and guess what, when I looked at the $3k bamboo rod, it had the same setup for seating the reel, so I saved enough money to fly out to Colorado. If you are looking for a short, light weight rod this is a great option and it matches well with the Aventik reel. I got the whole set for under $100.

値段と商品写真をみて、7’6”wt3/4を購入してみました。管理釣り場で試し釣りをしてみると35cm超のニジマスでも何ら問題なく釣れます。一つ難癖をつければ、リールシートがロックアップ式でなかったのが残念です。
