I had a small problem reaching customer service at first but when i did Vicki responded immediately and solved my problem within 36 hours. The product works perfectly and installation is simple and love the solar camera but I had a problem with the holder not sticking to my dash after I removed it but they are sending a replacement and extended my warranty to 2 years.

This backup camera works great. It literally took 5 minutes to install. It took me longer to gather my tools than it did to install. I have a 2009 vehicle and I wanted a backup camera. I didn't want to have to run wires and splice into my license plate lights to hook up a camera. With this 1 there are no wires to run and my car faces north in my drive so the back of my car gets sun all day. It will keep the camera charged.

Nice setup for the price. Picture is a little grainy but is easy to see. I haven't adjusted the contrast yet, should help with the video feed. Wireless is very good on my truck and setup is simple.

I gave a 5 star rating because the instructions (2nd half of the video) made the installation easy and the product works as advertised.I'd recommend it to anyone not wanting to mess with wiring up to the brake system. Just set up the screen, attach the camera and it starts working when the car is started.No, the quality of the lens isn't as sharp as my Honda Accord but it is more than adequate.Follow up: Still very satisfied with the unit. the solar batter for the camera works great - haven't needed to do anything since the installation. A bit of static appears on the phone unless the unit is turned off by pressing a button - easy fix. I like the fact that the unit can be easily adjusted to stay on from 30 sections to two minutes.Placement: locating the camera in Style 1 blocks the light shining on the lic plate. That's a violation of state law in Texas when driving at night. Using the Style 2 location works but I worry about a car wash damaging the camera and or lic plate.

There are two parts to this rear camera kit, the solar powered camera that easily installed above the license plate, and the video monitor that can view the images, which plugs into the vehicle’s power outlet. It was a fast and easy install, the only difficulty was that the bumper has a ledge that frames the top, making this a tight fit. It can be flipped upside down and placed at the bottom of the plate if there are any obstructions at the top. It functions as expected, but I do need to push the button on the power cord plug to wake it up from sleeping. This might be due to our outlet providing power while vehicle turns off. Battery life of the solar cam is good, I only charged it once with a USB cable prior to install, and it has lasted around 3-4 weeks so far without needing a recharge. This was a concern since the vehicle is garage stored and seldomly driven, but so far has worked well. Overall it is an average value, I wish the screen was more of a glass or hard plastic but it is a soft screen style similar to old smartphone screens or old computer monitors. For that reason the clarity is not as sharp, but it does the job.
