Works perfectly, for controlling anything, not just a vacuum. I use it to turn my powered sub woofer on/off when the receiver turns on/off. Noticed it has a 90 second delay when turning off - good design!

This is an inexpensive solution for my miter saw station. Plug the saw into receptical "A" and the vacuum into receptical "B". That's it. It takes about 1-2 seconds for the vacuum to power up after starting the saw. The vacuum runs for about 5 seconds after powering down the saw. Perfect for my needs. Mounted on the wall right next to the power receptical. The pigtail is 14". It has two screw mounting holes. The whole thing is plastic. Not an issue for my use case. At this price point I'm sure the internal relay is typical Chinesium quality but you (mostly) get what you pay for. Seems like a decent unit so far.

I have a very small shop, and I used to use one vacuum cleaner for all my tools. That is a good concept because it takes up less space and is a more economical alternative to having separate dust extractors for each machine. The only problem with that concept is my brain. I would forget to move the vacuum cleaner to the machine I was using, or if it was already attached, I would forget to turn it on when needed. After breathing too much dust for too many years, I decided to equip my miter saw and table saw with their own dust extractors and to use these automatic switches to power the vacuum when the saw is powered. Man, I wish I had done this years ago. This switch does what it is supposed to do. I chose it because it can be easily mounted to a wall or workbench with a couple of screws. If it lasts for 10 or 20 years, then it will have been a good investment.

There's little to dislike about this switch. I have my vacuum and table saw plugged into this. It's eliminated my need to remember to start my vacuum each time I use the saw. I turn the saw on and the switch turns my dust collection on. When I turn my saw off, the duct collection stays on for five seconds then turns off. Easy-peasy!

I have 2 PRO Sub Woofers (1200 Watts Audio Each) that I do not want to power off my AMP, plus my Amp does not have a grounded connection. This item allows me to use my AMP to remote turn on the Subs without any effort. Works great, and I would highly recommend this product. No Setup or special configurations... Just plug it in and GO! - Dealer very fast shipping! Highly recommend!

I have two of these auto switches hooked up to both a dehumidifier and a window A/C. These activate at 30 watts of power versus the other style that turns on at 5 amps.For the dehumidifier, this operates an hour meter to monitor the hours the dehumidifier runs and a box fan to help mix the air in the room. When the dehumidifier shuts off, the box fan will also shut off as well saving on electricity. When the dehumidifier turns back on, so does the box fan.For the window A/C, the other one operates an Amazon Basics 20-inch box fan that helps circulate the cool air off the floor and mix it with the heat at the ceiling making the window A/C work more efficiently. Once the A/C turns off, the box fan also shuts of saving on electricity. But when the window A/C turns back on, so does the box fan.I have other plans for these auto switches for other uses besides power tools and vacuum cleaners. Since these activate at 30 watts instead of another brand at 5 amps, I could use it for other equipment. Possibly monitor the hours my refrigerator runs, and the chest freezer, maybe the dishwasher and clothes washer as well.

Purchased this in conjunction with a dust cover for a mitre saw. I have the saw and shop vac plugged in, and this does a great job of running the shop vac long enough to remove the new saw dust.

Works exactly as it says. No more reaching under the bench to turn on and off the shop vac. Vac automatically turns on about 2 seconds after saw start up. Shuts down about 7 seconds after saw shut down. Brilliant!

This automatic switch box works great. Before buying this, I would be constantly turning the vacuum on and off as I needed it. Keeping it on, would drive me nuts. I should have bought years ago. I would definitely recommend this item if you're looking to make your workshop more functional.

Since the first time I set it it has performed as expected. With little to no time from switching tool on to fire up both pieces of equipment drilling, cutting, and sanding etc can begin immediately. I was surprised by the length of the shut off delay. 5 seconds doesn't sound that long but it's a good amount off time after powering down your tool to quickly sweep any residual dust or chips off the work plate and let the line clear before the vacuum shuts off. I use it with the Dewalt Portable 4.5 hp unit with the handle and no wheels so the small size of the switch makes a good match if working away from the shop or lending it out to someone to use at their home or jobsite. The Switch fits inside the storage compartment on my vac nicely so overall I have no complaints despite the steep price. I was weary about the price point being to high and considered other options but nothing seemed to fit my needs like this unit so I took a risk. I'm glad I did and I definitely recommend it.
