I love using these 60 mm Petri dishes. They hold up fine in the autoclave at 450°.I used them for mycology work. I have reused them after I sterilized them and they hold up fine.

I recently purchased a set of 100 autoclavable plastic Petri dishes, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! The dishes are incredibly durable, lightweight, and perfect for my microbiology experiments. They withstand autoclaving without warping or cracking, which is a huge plus for maintaining sterility. The clear design makes it easy to observe cultures, and the stackable feature saves space in the lab. The price was very reasonable for the quantity and quality, and they arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. These Petri dishes have become an essential part of my lab work, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable, autoclavable labware!

These work well and hold up to several cycles in the PC. I love that they are vented. I actually prefer them to glass. Definitely recommend.

Does the job. Don’t go over 250f because they will melt. Only one I tried to melt agar in cheap air fryer. Good clarity and tops fit well. Cleaning old agar is easy and I don’t have so much trash. These seem to be a good alternative to glass, but still disposable if you want. Doing fine after several 15 PSI pressure cooker uses.

These are the clearest reusable petri dishes I have used. Most on the market are made of polypropylene, which is a little cloudy, so the view of the culture in the petri dish is not very clear with the lid on. These are crystal clear like the disposable polystyrene dishes, but unlike those, they do not melt under autoclave conditions. They made it through a cycle (actually above 15 psi but my elevation is over 5000 ft). No deformation or loss in clarity that I could see after one sterilization cycle - I will update after I've put some dishes through a few more. For the 60mm dishes, 10 dishes (contents of one sleeve) fit in a wide mouth quart mason jar, which is a convenient way to keep them from touching the sterilization vessel or getting flooded with water. A long strip of parchment paper makes a little sling you can use to get the stack into and out of the jar. Use a slightly-loosened polypropylene lid or an inverted canning lid with a finger-tightened ring so the jar is not sealed. So far I'm very impressed. I will update this review with pictures when I have some colonized agar plates.UPDATE (2024-03-22): Added a picture of some colonized plates. (For the curious, I added labels over my shorthand culture IDs.)

Product listing indicates that these are autoclavable petri dishes. However, when put into an autoclave, they warped beyond usage

I love love love these!!! It is so hard to find a decent autoclavable petri dish nowadays that doesn't cost hundreds of dollars! And I got a great tip from reddit where you can wrap and put ten of them in the biggest wide mouth quart jar and pc them in a 6qt IP! It's sooooooo quick and easy, I can't believe what I went through to pc my 90mm dishes! I'm pretty much just using these now as I can keep them in the quart jars on the shelf so they're ready to go whenever I need a few fresh ones! Thank you!!!

To avoid contamination, I autoclaved these with my agar and nutrients for 30 minutes. Dropped my mycellium bits on them a day later in a still air box, and after a week, all 10 are flourishing, contamination-free.What I like: These are very lightweight, yet the 90 mm diameter gives a large surface area. The lid fits the base well and allows the right overlap with the base to get some Parafilm or micropore medical tape around the edge with ease. I really prefer these to glass ones I had purchased previously, which had loose-fiting tops that descended almost to the base of the bottom, making taping a little challenging.
