I was torn over installing a hood protector or deflector on my Pilot. I was used to the old style ones of the past that stuck up quite a bit. This one is seamless and flush.When doing the install, follow the instructions. You don’t want to get the prepping fluid anywhere else. It won’t destroy your paint but will dull it out. This is what allows the protector to fit. If you do get excess you can wipe it off and buff it out.Do as it says and peel back just about an inch or so of the edge of the strips. This will allow you to put it in place and adjust the fitment. It’s plastic, so you can bend and contour it to the edge of your hood. I left the slight gap as instructed.Overall I am very pleased. The leading edge of my hood already had a few minor knicks and scuff from the road. That was with only 3k miles, so I wanted to protect it. This seems to get the job done.

I have used aeroskins on many of my previous cars that I have owned and they have been packaged and delivered well. This aeroskin for my 2024 Honda Pilot arrived damaged and with the adhesive tape half way undone. AVS needs to secure these Aeroskins much better. The box took a beating through UPS delivery. I ordered this item on March 23 and was told I would have to wait until April or May 2024. I attempted to reorder and find that Amazon is out of stock again. Very disappointed .UPDATE:Ordered another Aerokin for my 2024 Honda Pilot on April 18,2024. The package was delivered on June 7ththe box was not damaged but in excellent shipping condition on arrival and the "Aeroskin" was very well secured inside the box with no damage. I was impressed that AVS did fulfill this order very well, despite the initial order fumbled delivery. I placed the "Aeroskin" on my Honda and it looks good! This will protect from debris damage on the front hood edge. I upgraded my rating. Thanks AVS and Amazon
