Item arrived with a scratch through the protective film that was on for protection. Installation was quick and easy. Disappointed in scratch considering it was packaged correctly means it was scratched prior to packaging and being sent to me, meaning it had to be seen prior to packaging.

Overall it’s worth the cost. However they’re things to consider.. it’s fixed to the hood with no screws, however has double stick tape around the entire shield. Once it’s on it’s not easily coming back off, especially after the sun beats on it. My suggestion here would be to remove about one inch of the tape on the bottom of the shield to allow for moisture build a place to drain. Another thing, it does NOT come with an instruction sheet as mentioned, however I’d suggest watching the video provided in the product listing. Taping a mark before installing was a big help, as shown in the video. Also, the shield is satin/flat finish, not glossy. It also fits a 2025 model year 2500HD Chevy pick up.

I’ve ordered and installed AVS products before. The quality of this item is sub par. The plastic is dull and milky looking and scratches very easily. Also, went through all the paint prep steps for install and ultimately decided not to install the product once I removed the plastic wrap, well the paint prep products damaged my paint. There’s a clear discoloration now on my hood from where the paint prep cloth was wiped. Unbelievably disappointed in this product in every sense.

Installed this hood protector shortly after buying my 2024 2500HD. Good installation instructions. Easy installation. Excellent fit. After 6 months on my truck hasn’t come loose - has stood up to power washing. Done good job of protecting the hood. Recommend it.
