This is definitely nice having. Upon removing it from the box and packaging, it did have a strong plastic smell to it. It's easy to use and easy to clean. It gives me a piece of mind having the safety fearures. When the paper is stuck it will stop. I love the card shredding capability and heat resistance.

This arrived today and I immediately set this up and and tried the shredder. It works well and there's a credit card shredding slot as well. I do recommend this product and seller. This arrived with no issues and it's not heavy at all. It's also easy to empty.

The paper shredder works well and I got it a good price. It can become slow when feeding multiple pieces of paper at a time though it powers through.

I had bags of paper I needed to shred, didn’t really think this Aurora compact shredder could do the job but WOW!! It worked great!! Well pleased!!I found it to work best at shredding a maximum of 3 papers at a time, and remove staples.Watch the indicator light as long it is green you can keep going, but if it turns red, give it time to cool then it will turn green again, it does a great job!!

This is a small shredder it will fit under a desk. I shredded about 200 pcs the first day on auto setting. Never got hot. I removed all staples. I started with just 1 piece then went up one sheet at a time. 4 sheets slows it down 5 sheets is going to over heat it. I used mostly 2-3 sheets and ran it for a good hr. All sheets shredded on and no jams. Put a couple credit cards through it and no issues. Just don’t recommend putting one of those American Express metal ones through it. That’s how I grenaded my old one. Just make sure you oil it before each use. Seems like it will work for you basic home papers

Great shredder. I like the anti-jam feature which comes in handy when there’s a clog or jam. I like the strength of the shredding, the shredding quality, and the heat resistance. I would consider the noise level a medium one. It isn’t the quietest but also not the loudest. Worth the price.

My old shredder finally packed it in. Was not repairable. I explored various makes and models for a new shredder I AMAZON. I had a full description of many different shredders to choose from. This particular shredder shred pieces of paper in one load. Seeing as it is a cross shredder, The job well. as I had gone for so long without without a shredder, I had a large amount to do. This shredder did it all. And most of all it’s quiet very quiet.. if you’re in need of a shredder, I would definitely recommend this oneTeresa

I’ve had this shredder for 2 mos now, use it every day and it works great. So far no issues in shredding all types of paper. Well worth the price!!

Does exactly what it should do - shreds paper, card stock and credit cards - and does it easily. The small container below the shredder fills quickly if you're using this on a daily basis, so just a heads up about that. To minimize the mess caused by emptying it, I lined the container with a small trash bag - it doesn't impede the operation of the shredder at all. (The shredder head has to come in contact with a specific piece of the container to operate, so don't use a thick bag.) I purchased shredder maintenance sheets (also called shredder cleaning sheets) to use once a month or so, to keep the blades sharp and lubricated - I recommend keeping them on hand if you're a heavy shredder like I am.Update: 1 year later, still going strong!Recently moved in with someone who is a bit of a paper hoarder - or was, until we started shredding. Long story made short: man living alone with hectic job schedule never threw any paper away - so receipts, bills, etc - all kept for over 5 years and just piled into bags and left sitting. Over the course of several weeks, he sorted through it to be sure it was all trash, and I started shredding. I ended up with EIGHT 33-gallon trash bags full of shredded paper. This little shredder powered through it all, even after being over a year old!Tips: You have to give this thing a break now and then, and don't overload it. It's not a commercial shredder and can only take up to 8 sheets at a time - and I've found 8 sheets is often too much, so I don't do more than 3-4 sheets at one time.Buy the Amazon Basics Shredder Lubricating/Cleaning sheets & run one of them through the shredder after you empty it 2-3 times to keep the blades sharp & running smoothly.For an inexpensive shredder, this has been a great addition to my home office, and turned out to be a real workhorse, which I wasn't expecting. Definitely recommended.
