I'm an avid crocheter and supplies are expensive. If I had to purchase via large chain store, I would if spent considerably more for same brand. I purchased 3 packs, which can't guarantee same lot, so there was a slight difference of colour between the packs, but it didn't really matter for the project I was doing. I always check Amazon first when doing large projects to help save costs.

I must have used a dozen of these balls in my lifetime. I use them for crochet name doilies. Not too thick. Not too thin. Consistent color. VERY rarely stops, starts or knots in the ball.

I like to use Aunt Lydia's crochet cotton to make summer tops, and bikinis. Fo bikinis I use a crochet hook. For tops and shawls, I use size 8, 9, 10, or 10.5 or 11 knitting needles. The color Natural is not what I expected. It is similar to Bridal White with more of yellow cast. 3 balls are enough to make a very lacy top or short shawl with the larger needles. Crochet uses more yarn and will be heavier so 2 balls may make a bikini top

This yarn is great for fine crochet. It doesn't split, and works up quickly.Amazon has a variety of colors, the 3 packs are a great money saver.

Love it. I’m a new weaver and size ten crochet cotton is my favorite for warp. Perfect for my tapestries. I don’t think I’ve ever had aunt Lydia’s before, or this version of it, tho, so I will say- I like the way it comes. The way it’s wound up and the total yardage in one ball/cone/whatever. I’ve had some before where it came as a long skinny skein, no center tube or cone, and I hated that. And then there’s the ones that come wound like these do but they don’t have as much yardage. I go through them quickly. Love the three pack too. Next time I would look for some sort of off white. This stuff is completely white. But still no complaints. 👍🏻
