This product came greatly recommended for our mentor home. It lasts a long time in storage and is compact taking the place of products that have to be replaced frequently because of expiration dates being expired.

Just bought an emergency food bucket - ya never know when you'll need it . I havent opened it , so i have no idea what it tastes like . Just feel thankful i have it on hand if i should need it . This is some surprisingly good stuff. The taste of each meal is far better than many other brands I have eaten. I spent a few years exploring the back roads and desert trails of the south west United States in a 4x4 camper and have lots of experience eating camping and long term storage meals. I really like the way they packaged the meals. Each meal item is package in multiple packages. Just pack what you might need for a day or two not deal with a large bag of each item.

I am starting to stock up on long term food storage and I'm glad I found Auguson Farm products! Very cost efficient. After reading comments, I did open the pail (opening pail doesn't affect shelf life of products inside) to inspect the pouches for any punctures, but everything was perfect! I also didn't find the pail too hard to open as I've read complaints about that, and I'm a woman haha. If you're questioning getting this, just get it! Better to be prepared than not, especially if you're on a budget.Only concern I have is lack of protein. I plan on getting some of their cans of freeze dried meats. You may also want to throw some ziploc baggies and measuring cups into your bug out bag or into the pails if you don't plan on cooking the meals all at once, as the bag suggests, as you won't want to lug around cooked food if SHTF.

Contents are as described. Very fast shipping (via Prime). I have not tried any of the packs inside, but from other reviews, I think they will be good. A bit of extra space inside the air-tight pail for some "extras" (after repacking the pouches).
