About this item

  • Active 2-channel line driver/output converter, designed to work with aftermarket and factory systems
  • Speaker-level inputs handle up to 40V (400 watts RMS)
  • Provides up to 9.5 Vrms output
  • Auto turn-on via DC offset or audio detect
  • Level control and maximized LED indicator
  • Load selection switch for OEM integration (20, 60, or 20,000 ohms)
  • Speaker-level inputs feature switchable load resistance to prevent factory stereo shut-down

The LC1i joins ranks with AudioControl’s most popular active line output converter, the LC2i. Adding a sub? Planning a full system? Either way, get the best possible signal from your factory sound system to your amplifiers. Load selection switches mean Original Equipment integration has never been easier and the LC1 will work with the most finicky factory sound systems. Installer friendly turn on trigger modes allow for flexibility via GTO Signal Sense (DC offset), audio sense, or remote 12 volt inputs. For future head unit upgrades, the LC1i is also a line driver and can remain in the system to provide optimal preamp signal.

I’ve got an Android stereo in my 2015 Jeep Compass. It’s great in every way except the RCA outputs for L/R and sub have low voltage. This unit boosts the signal so you can set the gain without cranking it. The signal is nice and clean, and it’s easy to install this unit behind the Android stereo somewhere because it’s small. I love this little thing and for $50 you can’t beat the price and quality. Frequency response is 20hz to 50khz, so it’s fine for my uses. Just make sure to set the switches and settings right. Don’t max out the output knob, keep it at 90% or lower and adjust the amp gain accordingly. It’s always best to have a little headroom in every component for the cleanest signal.

This is a very nice line driver. I have one of these in my daily driver, as well as their Matrix Plus in another vehicle. Knowing the added clarity and depth this gives to a system's playback, I decided to add one to my home stereo. I did the research and checked the specs, then grafted it into my components. One thing to mention, when my Android was not turned on and playing music I got a back-feed hum. A quick change on the ground isolation to GND, and it stopped. I'm all smiles. So versatile, no matter where you install it.

Hooked this up to 2, 10 in speakers (one box) and it works perfect, sound is not distorted by any means, relatively easy to set up great for the value, build quality is great. Had slight issues with the remote but worked it out after wires were hooked up. Over all, quality is great

Pros: Works like it should. Quality build, big adjustable knob. Can get very loud. Couldn't get the max to light up, it's probably because I am not using a high power head unit. Love the quick disconnectCons: The wire connections don't hold very good, tiny screw using tiny flat head... not very supportive. Phillips would have been better for more torqueDecided not to use for my bagger anymore, going a different direction. Would I buy again. Sure, and probably modify the terminals for a phillip style screw set.For the price you can't beat $55

I was skeptical about buying a line out converter, but this converts a nice clean sound.

Works great no intrusive noises like humming. Also the clip indicator works flawless and my system sounds clearer off my factory head unit. The value is there for sure I honestly tried others and ended up with noise put ground isolators in from kicker and mtx back to back and still didn't work. But this unit cured it. Will buy again and recommend

I have a new ford explorer xlt and to change the radio isn’t that simple the infotainment system in the new explorers is very costly to add an aftermarket radio and changing the radio requires so many accessories and the radios available all change your heating and ac and power seat controls. Too much to risk. With that said I added a kicker line out comverter to add an amplifier. When I hooked everything up my sub sounded like trash and the signal was muffled and a lot of bass ranges on songs were missing. I spent over a month researching products to fix this issue I even tried a smart line out converter but that helped only a little. I found this line out booster in a car audio forum as a recommendation instead of the 1000$ I was about to spend on a digital sound processor and digital amp. I ordered this item thinking it wasn’t going to do much being this cheap. I was sadly mistaken. I added this to my stereo before my amplifiers and it boosted and cleaned up the signal beyond my wildest expectations. Every song is crystal clear and my sub works like it was hooked up to an aftermarket radio. If you’re adding a sub to any factory radio do yourself a favor and add this. I just added a distribution block to power the device and plugged in my rcas accordingly and tuned it to my amps. All in all took 20 minutes to install and my stereo is mint. If you’re not really a review person trust me and this review you’ll save yourself the stress and money…Edit: could just be the unit itself but after having for 4 months I’m now having to replace this unit. I’m running a pretty heavy system so with that much power things happen but was hoping would last longer. But totally worth the money
