RGBS (SCART) / VGA to YPBPR converter, it can convert the output video signal RGBS (SCART) / VGA of game consoles such as MD, Saturn, Dreamcast, SFC etc. into color difference signal YPBPR, making the original game picture more clear and vivid. The converter is compatible with European and Japanese scart signals and RGBS input.

- It needs an external USB-C 5V power supply,When you use VGA signal input.

Q1: This device upscales the image signal or it converts the signal?
A1: It just converts the signal.
Q2: Is it compatible with super nes and genesis?
A2: It is compatible with genesis. If your nes can output rgbs signal, it is also compatible.

Got nothing but a black screen. I suspect this is because it won't change a 480p signal into 480i, but that is what I needed so this is useless to me.

Waited and waited, delay after delay. Finally received device, and hooked it up and nothing. Says not supported. Will be returning and absolutely do not recommend.

This is NOT a downscaler, it's a transcoder. If you know your use case and that it WON'T downscale, it is perfect for the job. Ignore the negative reviews.It works perfectly for my use case, which is outputting 240p from a modern Nvidia GPU via Displayport to VGA cable-->this unit>old CRT TV via component cables. Does the job nicely.It will also work if you're using it for a CRT emudriver build.
