This is not loud on the highest volume setting at 24 volts. Don’t waste your money on this if you are looking for a doorbell volume chime. Sadly it didn’t figure this out until after 30 day return window closed. It will go in the trash.

We have used these as a motion activated Chime for the hospitals and as a Intercom notification chime. They have proven the test of time and work great as long as they are wired correctly. They require constant or switched power and depending on the power available will depend on how the device is wired but long story short the trigger is a positive trigger so it requires +12-24VDC to trigger the device along with 12-24VDC to power the device. If you are using switched power you can simply wire the positive in with the corresponding trigger if you are using constant power you will need to take a leg off the positive pass it through the relay on the triggering device and land the other side of the cable on the corresponding trigger. Make sure to pay attention to dip switch setting as this will affect how the chime behaves.
