We live across from a lake and this carrier is great for us to transport our canoe. It’s very good on flat and slightly hilly areas not sure about about rough places.

The cart feels sturdy and I like the hard rubber, non-inflatable tires. The solid rubber makes them a little heavy but no worries about them going flat.As others have said, the one little strap that's provided is pretty useless. Add your own straps, one that loops over the kayak around the front edge of the cockpit rim and a second that loops behind the cockpit. The photos provided by another reviewer are a great way to go. Straps with hooks on the ends also work well - just hook each end of the strap to either side of the carts frame. One minor negative is that it appears some of the hardware is stainless steel but some is not. The clips that hold the wheels on are not. If you use the cart around salt water you'll want to rinse well to minimize rust.

So easy to pop the wheels on and go - less than a minute! We live right across the street from the waterfront on a lake. We thought it would be easy to drag or carry the kayaks a short distance to enjoy them... not so much! This cart has made all the difference for us. We bought one for each kayak. Haven't tried two kayaks on one cart yet, but they are very sturdy. I took the advice of another person and turned the "kickstand" the other way to keep it from bumping the uneven terrain between our house and the lake (causing it to collapse forward) and that worked great. And we never have to worry about a flat tire, the wheels are a sturdy rubber (not plastic/not inflatable). Straps are independent of the cart so you can strap it tightly any way you wish, shift the weight of the kayak to suit your need.

It does get the job done and breaks down, but is still to bulky to be carried in my kayak with me. I also have issues occasionally getting it to sit well with my kayak and my kayak although strapped on will come off. I'm sure in my case it's a user issue but other times I have no issues at all.

This caddy was everything we hope it would be. We have 2 kayaks and a canoe up in the Adirondacks and in previous years have carried them from the boathouse over rough terrain down a long path to the lake. Having the caddy made the process much quicker since we didn’t have to take frequent rest breaks. The wheels are sturdy and the stand made it easy to load the boats. The strap provided held each one in place securely even over tree roots and rocks. We had our doubts when it came to the much heavier canoe but had no issues. We decided to leave the caddy up in the mountains at our vacation home and will be ordering a second one for our permanent home by a lake in North Carolina.

To merely say this is a game-changer does not even begin to describe it. I'm 62 years old, in pretty good shape, but grew weary of hauling my kayak from its rack to the lake, even though it's only about a 60 yard haul. This little cart is a marvelous, lightweight and well-thoughtout design. Folds up. Sturdy. Wheels don't require air. It comes with a nice cam lock strap, but truthfully I've never used it. Just plop the watercraft onto the cart and walk. Love it.

This kayak cart is extremely handy and works perfect. The wheels are made of durable rubber and work well for all terrains. It was able to hold two kayaks with ease :). Would be best to use two straps when moving it.
