BUYER BEWARE, this is a Made in China, decorative paddle, not at all what is shown in the picture. The paddles I received were very thick, not tapered at the bottom like a real paddle.I own several "feather brand" paddles like the one shown in the description. That is not what these paddles are.(Photos show real Caviness Feather brand, compared to this knock-off counterfeit thing.)

I’m so excited about these! They arrived early and packaged beautifully! I don’t have a photo yet but will hopefully update when I’m done with my project. This might be my favorite project now!

Best oar I've used for the money. We fish in shallow rivers, so there are a lot of boulders and rocks. The plastic oars break easily under these kinds of environments. These wooden oars are not too heavy, long enough to hit bottom in a pinch and redirect your raft, and strong enough to use as a lever when you're stuck or jammed up against a boulder in strong current. They also float in case one gets away from you which comes in handy when you lose your grip in whitewater.

This is a great paddle, only issue is what I received was not quite what was pictured. The picture was more of a beavertail type style of blade, which is what i wanted. However, what we received was a narrower otter tail type of blade. A little disappointed until we took it out for a day trip. Actually liked it better for river running with the narrower blade, as it's a bit more robust for pushing against rocks, etc. Great value for the money.

We took the canoe out as soon as the paddle arrived- I only had one- I usually go solo- but we had company so I needed another paddle. There is seriously no need to buy anything more expensive. I got the five foot paddle to match my other one. This one is slightly narrower, but does the trick all the same. Would definitely recommend.

I don't know how to say this but....YOU MUST BUY! These are perfect! 5 solid feet. Beautiful coated and the natural color is stunning. I bought with the intentions of painting but I can't bring myself to paint these beautiful paddles!! You won't regret this buy!

I have a couple of canoes that my sons now use more than I do - I still go with them once in a while. So far I ended up owning two broken aluminum paddles and one lost one. You can't go canoeing without paddles so I went with a more cost effective paddle. Surprisingly enough these are feather brand paddles. Not the best paddle on the market but a very solid paddle for the weekend river canoe trip. And so far my sons haven't broken or lost one. These paddles work great for us!
