I have a metal pole building that is well insulated but has a weak signal inside. Outside, 5G is strong with 5-bars of reception. Inside the building, there's maybe 2 bars and 5G drops frequently. After installing the booster, there are no more dropped calls and 5G is much better. Speeds more than tripled. We've tested with Verizon and T-mobile, both are getting good reception. Definitly recommended if you need an inexpensive booster.

We actually ended up with this version of the cell phone booster by accident. We ordered the lower end version but we got this version. We live in a rural area and have Verizon cell phone service. We are lucky to get 1 bar, we have a place in one corner of the house that gets 2 bars, but often we get the circle of death showing we have no service. We hoped that this would get us 2 solid bars in the house, turns out we have 3 solid bars in most of the house, two end bedrooms have 2 bars and the main house area gets 4 bars now.I did not install it, my husband did and he said it was an easy install. We have a post outside that our Starlink dish is on and we just added the outdoor antenna for this unit on that pole. We did check outside to find a spot where we had the best service (2 bars for us). Our only concern was would the cable from the outdoor antenna to the indoor box be long enough, and it was ample for our install.

Initially I installed it, and everything went in ok, but couldn't get it to do much. Called a friend that does professional installs on this type of product. He spent a few hours just tunning it in and getting it aimed perfectly at the closest tower that is about 2 miles away. I have gone from 0-1 bar up to 2 bars on a good day. We live in a dead zone, so anything is a help. I had him back out a week later after a windstorm and he spent another 2 hours just aiming the outdoor antenna. He told me my rig would really need to be another 20-30 foot higher and he couldn't promise that would help much. I'm already 45 foot in the air now so I think I am pushing my limits for a free-standing antenna. I'm sure this would work for someone with better signal however, never having a good signal I cannot really say what it would do. Just get it up and running before the return time runs out so if it doesn't work for you, then you will be able to send it back.

My house is basically a Faraday cage because of the chicken wire used for stucco so any sort of antenna outside improves the signal. This version is a step up from my other cell phone booster. The indoor antenna is not as it is shown in the manual (a pointy white thing) but is a big square box. They want you to mount this on the ceiling. That means a cable running up your wall and to the ceiling. I just put mine up high on a bookshelf. You basically connect one small coax to the OUTSIDE input (helpfully labeled) and run it to the outside of your house. The fat end of the coax attaches to the outdoor antenna. That means a hole or an open window or something that will allow a COAX to pass through. You connect the other COAX cable to the indoor antenna.Connect the power cord and plug in.The base gives you a lot of info.It really helps to install an app on your phone that points toward the cell phone towers. You are supposed to mount this at least 25 feet higher than the indoor antenna. It will complain if you do not have them far enough apart stating “self oscillation alarm”Make sure you connect the antennas first and then turn on the receiver, it states otherwise it can be damaged. It took a while but we went from 1-2 bar to 2-3 bars of signal in the house after much messing around with the position of the antenna. If you have no bars this will not help as multiplying by zero still yields zero. We live in an area with iffy cell phone signal, so your experience will vary depending on where you live.It should come with a longer COAX for outside.
