The quality of the box is pretty good at the price point. The tuning is right about where it needs to be to make the most out of a 6x9. I loaded mine with MTX Thunders on stock HU power and with some careful tuning, the audio in my rickety ass 91 dakota is about on par with what you'd expect in a truck from the early 10's. You can get down to about 36hz before the tone kinda turns to nothing. These don't replace a sub but if you can't fit one, then these loaded with some speakers with good low end response are probably the next best thing.It's important to note that the pair is identical and not mirrored, meaning the ports face the same direction. I thought this was a weird choice, but it's not a huge flaw. You just have to keep one of them off the wall.

They looked well built and felt solid. However, I did not notice in the pictures that both speakers are left (or right depending on your preference). Depending on your mounting preferences, you’ll end up with a slot to a corner, and one to center of vehicle. This will augment the low frequencies on one speaker and not the other. I thought about disassembling them and fixing them, but decided that if I’m going to go thru all that trouble, I’ll build my own.

I needed to add some 6x9 speakers to my 6.5 front speakers. I wanted some ported boxes. These are the only ones I could find on Amazon. They are well build, with quality connectors. The ports work - you can feel the bass in your seat. Be sure to look around they offer these for different prices and shipping speeds from the same company. I'm glad I picked them.

Oh my... I installed some KICKER DSC6930 6x9-Inch 3-ways in these boxes and the depth and clarity of my music not only improved, but my music came alive. As someone that's been building low cost systems for 30+ years, these boxes really impress. Truly woke up the bass... won't be long and I'll get my amps installed and see what really happens...
