Bought this thing on a whim. I use it with a standard tuned 4 string bass when I want to play around and experiment instead of sticking to practicing fundamentals like a good boy. It's not a synth per se like an actual synth type pedal but has strong synth vibes. There is an internal switch to change the octave effect from the factory setting of minus 2 octaves to minus 1. You pretty much have to change it to minus one for bass unless you're trying to blow up speakers or amps or eardrums and found it also tames the craziness down a bit for guitar as well since you can't really turn the suboctave or any of the effects for that matter all the way down (except for volume). Man does this pedal do weird things. It's the kind of pedal where if you give it to 10 different players they will come up with 10 wildly different settings for their favorite sound. It's maybe a bit too out there for live performance or recording with most genres but it's a ton of fun to noodle around and find new sounds by playing with the sliders. If you have your essential effects taken care of on your pedal board and are looking for something that will take you on a sonic adventure I would highly recommend it.

I was excited to try and it out performed my expectations by a long shot!

It is as advertised. A lot going on in one pedal. Unfortunately it is all happening at the same time. Hard to do anything with it other than stun the listener.

I love this pedal. I was looking for a crazy, noisy tone that sounds wonderfully terrible but leaves enough of the signal intact that you can make out the note. This is exactly that. It gives you enough adjustment options to dial it in just right and has a fantastic gate built in so it cuts off completely when you mute the strings. It also looks great. Each of the potentiometer sliders has a blue LED and they sit atop a lovely black brick. The only problem is attaching it to my pedal board. You have to remove the rubber feet on the bottom so you can attach velcro. But the bolts that hold the feet on are the same bolts that hold the pedal's housing together. I should be able to find some shorter ones at a hardware store though. It is surprisingly inexpensive too. A great pedal all around.

I was kicking back and watching some YouTube videos when a demo of this pedal came up. It sounded really cool so I looked for more demos. I noticed that everyone was using it for heavy psychedelic type songs but I noticed something in it that would work for a dirty, mid-tempo, soul/groove song I’ve been working on. Let me tell you, it freaking kills it! I’m able to get a more modern dirty yet candy sweet variation of the guitar/synth tone that Hot Chocolate uses on Every1’s a Winner. I can see that I’m going to have a lot of fun playing with this. The pedal forces you to get to know it before it starts to shine. It’s more inspirational than a lot of crazy fuzzed out pedals. Take some time to get to know it and you’ll see what I mean. Songs await…

This is a little bit of a one trick pony, but it's a good trick.

It's weird and it's a module. It lives up to the name. Really not for everyone. If you like a wall of craziness that's difficult too use in all but the rarest occasion, this is your pedal. I like it. Only complaint is that I wish turning the slider all the way down would disable the effect. Bring able to turn off modulation or fuzz would make this more useful.
