Easy replacement for Pentair Rebel tires.

If your pool cleaner repeatedly drives itself into a wall or corner and stalls/becomes stuck, it's probably due to worn out tires. You can usually tell if the tires are the problem if the rubber is soft/sticky and you can rub off pieces of the tire with your fingers. These replacement tires are relatively inexpensive, easy to install and once on, will give your cleaner "a new lease on life". Depending on the type of chlorination system you have - I surmise a salt system would be less harsh on rubber tires than a straight chlorine system - a new set of tires ought to last about a year before needing replacing. Also, the knobs on the tires force the wheels to rotate out of sync, thereby causing the cleaner to move haphazardly, covering more pool surface and preventing it from getting stuck in a corner or up against a wall. So, before you go out and spend a couple hundred bucks (or more!) on a new cleaner, try changing the tires first. These ones easily slip onto the plastic wheels and fit well. Thumbs up!

I bought these to replace some worn out tires on my pentair vacuum. They helped give the machine the clearance and traction it needed to climb the walls and not get stuck in the corners of my pool. Installation was fairly easy and only required the use of a thin screwdriver to seet the tire on the back side of the wheels.

My pentair rebel vacuum is going on its third summer and was moving very slow despite the internal gears moving fast and the wheels doing 13 rpm as specified in the manual. It seemed to be stuck to the pool floor and walls. It was climbing the walls constantly and sucking in air at the water surface which would kill the pump. If I reduced flow from the variable speed pump, the vacuum wouldn’t climb walls but then it also wouldn’t have enough flow for the vacuum to move around. Cleaning the pool filters and change the gears inside the vacuum didn’t fix it. I almost bought weights to keep the vacuum from climbing the walls. I then realized my tires were worn and the vacuum was sitting too close to the pool floor and the knobs on each tire weren’t lifting the vacuum away from the pool wall to cause it to break it’s suction on the wall and fall back down. These new tires were a cheap fix and are super easy to install. It’s now cruising around like a happy vacuum and working like it did on day one.

These will fit perfectly on our cleaner. I took the cleaner to get serviced at the Pool supply store, and the guy asked where I got them? He was impressed with the ruggedness and starting us of the wheels. Will buy again.

Wow what a difference new tires make for my Pentair Rebel pool vac . My vac would get stuck in a corner are on the pool drain constantly.It was so frustrating. I read some reviews and thought I would give these a try and wow wow wow … now my pool cleaner can move and clean like never before. The price compared to the pentair brand is unbelievable what a deal . If your cleaner isStruggling to move maybe it just needs new tires.So happy I got theses….

The replacement tires are working great. And given the price it seems like a great buy. We'll see how long they last. My original Rebel tires lasted 2 years before they started to get stuck on the main pool drains with the knobs worn flat down. This unit has extra large knobs on the tires. So we'll see how long they last. So far so good.
