I didn't know that our human eyes were somewhat and somehow sensitive to Infra-Red light until I read an article online about blocking IR when doing astrophotography. So I bought a IR blocker to try visually and Wow I am amazed at the increase in the sharpness of focus that I get..!! I am now using the IR blocker with all my eyepieces..!! I will have to buy another one for my other eyepieces..!! It works for me... 😁😁😁

Muy útil para disminuir la aberración cromática en refractores. Con la ayuda de este filtro se puede observar a Jupiter y a Saturno sin halo. Para el caso de la luna no sirve tanto y le da una coloración amarillenta.

Look at the pictures…’nough said! I just purchased some filters for better viewing of planets and they come with a moon filter so can’t wait to combine it with this filter.

Had to laugh at the 1-star reviewer who "couldn't see a difference."This filter blocks Infrared and Ultraviolet light. Neither of which can be seen by humans. So the reviewer was complaining that he couldn't see the filter blocking out something he can't see anyhow... It's like complaining that you can't hear a dog whistle. This filter is intended for use with a digital camera that does not have a built-in filter. Digital sensors can be very sensitive to infrared light. Without the filter, reds will appear too red and skew the color of your targets.

Appears to be an excellent product. I use it with my Herschel wedge refractor for white light views and imaging of the sun. The filter appears to do its job well.

I’ve used other filters like this in the past and this one performs just as good. Stars are sharper and the overall image has a neutral color. Would recommend.

It removes the IR frequencies it says it does, removing glare and making it easier for me to capture details of planets with my unshielded camera. Good buy.
