Darned good beginner's guitar, and a good starter set of accessories.

Honestly the guitar is very nice. I do suggest you change the strings for the ones it comes with. Honestly i am very satisfied for the price and quality.

I accidentally bought two of these and keep both. One went to my daughter and the other to my son's girlfriend. The girls loved the color. The guitar is same size and weight as any full size guitar. It is a great starter guitar to see if someone really wants to play. My son has a fender and his sounds better if you play them side by side but this still sounds good and the added accessories were a nice addition.

My preteen son has developed an affinity for music and the guitar is what he wants to play. The music shop where he takes lessons offered us a guitar for nearly $300. That seemed extremely expensive for a kid just starting out and for a parent who is concerned this might be a fad and doesn't want to make that significant an investment. So, did some homework and looked for a reasonably priced model that was the right size and came across this model. It's not the cheapest, but was the right combination of price and quality (based on previous reviews). So far so good. My son likes it and the lessons continue. Feel confident if you are looking to purchase this six string.

I have another Ashthorpe guitar that l bought in 2022 that was perfect in every way right out of the box but it was a little more expensive than this one. I was expecting the same with this one but the first thing I noticed was the sloppy workmanship on the binding on the cutaway. There are swirl marks in the wood from the orbital sander that was used to sand this guitar and the clear finish has orange peel. The action (string height) was very high which made playing it extremely difficult. I filed down the bridge saddle as much as l could and adjusted the truss rod. It is now in playable condition. There is only about a sixteenth of an inch of the saddle sticking up out of the bridge so l couldn't file it down anymore. Once the guitar was in playable condition it plays well and sounds pretty good. Unless you know how to do your own set up work I wouldn't recommend this guitar for a beginner. A guitar tech typically charges $75 for a set up and that's more than the cost of this guitar. It came with an extra set of strings, picks, a tuner, a very thin gig bag, an allen key to adjust the truss rod and a cheap strap. It also came with a nice chart of Barre Chords. lt didn't come with a pickguard so l added a decorative one that dresses it up a little bit. Overall it's a pretty good bang for your buck if you can do your own set up work. Don't expect perfection on this one.

I almost sent it back as I had to tune it about 20 times before it held. The strings it comes with are not so great and quite hard to play, but after an hour of breaking it in, I started to like it. I wouldn’t recommend for a child or beginner as it’s not easy to play and may discourage them. I’m keeping itbecause it’s pretty and I know how to manipulate it to get a decent sound out. You basically have to man handle it.Update: After a month, this thing still won’t hold a tune, I should have returned it a long time ago. Don’t buy this piece of garbage. Now I will probably burn it when we have a Bon fire now that I can no longer return it. Return window is 30 days. I put it back in the box and placed it in the closet as I can no longer stand the sight of this frustrating piece of trash.

I was really cautious because of certain reviews, but the guitar is great! It took a while to tune and it's my first guitar (although I've played on others), while tuning It definitely sounded like it snapped but it didn't, no idea where that sound came from tbh. I wouldn't recommend the tuner that comes with it, I used a better online tuner that I use for my other instruments to get it sounding right. It's great for a beginner, the sound doesn't travel like a more expensive one would but it does have that nice acoustic ring, and the intervals are just right for studio quality. For someone like me 60-70 bucks is a lot to risk and not enough for a "decent" guitar, but this one works perfectly. I'd say just take the tuning slow and strum with care.EDIT: I've had this guitar for about 6 months now and it still works! I've even released an amateur song with it on spotify, I'm not the best musician but if you'd like to hear how it plays look up "Family Friendly Unplugged Acoustic" by Dee Delgado on Spotify, Tidal, pandora, etc. Hope this review helps! /plus shameless marketing for my music lmao
