Nice weight, length, material, look, and it is sturdy on inspection, but the proof is in the pudding. I have happy with it for now but will update my review after I finish my 3.5-foot-deep to 4-foot-deep by 2-foot-wide by 100-foot-long French drain I have to dig by hand to make repairs and to stop future torrential rains from future damaging my back basement wall. I will update this review when I've finished with that French drain.

I have now used this several times. I'm not using it in a work capacity, but I have had to dig some pretty deep holes with it, through Texas Clay. Its a great shovel and so far hasn't shown any signs of failing. Its probably going to last me, an occasional user, for a number of years and I welcome that!

My husband said the shovel is working well other than the fact that it is short. It is heavy duty, but for 40+ bucks. I would hope so.

Good, as described but too short. No fault of the product just realized how painful it is to shovel with such a small shovel lol.

I wasn't sure of the exact length of shovel I wanted. I saw various options, so I picked something in the middle. It is a "short shovel", but perfect for my wife to garden with. She is 4'11". I am 6' and much prefer a longer shovel, but this one, for its size is excellent. It is very well made, and the handle is a nice added feature to make shallow basic digging easy. My wife loves it. And while I will probably choose to use a 60-inch shovel I purchased instead, I am sure I'll find myself reaching for this for smaller tasks. It's very well made and I would definitely recommend it if you want a shovel that's 3 and a half feet long.
