These ash wood shovel handle replacements are straight with a good solid grain. Sanded smooth with no threats of splinters, the finish on them should last for quite a while. The length is just right for a D handle shovel. They will even work well for a snow shovel handle. These have come in quite handy as they have been used to bring life back to our previously dilapidated garden tools.This had proven a good product for us.
