Ashley Hearth's classic vent-free firebox is designed to fit any heating application for your home. By itself, this kit can be placed in zero clearance fireplaces and custom mantle applications. This firebox delivers 34, 000 BTU of heat, and because it does not require a vent, it is 99 percent efficient. It also includes a premium-crafted log and burner set to provide a realistic-looking flame, offering the ambiance and warmth of a real wood fire without the need for costly venting. It can also be installed as a conversion fireplace insert with the optional insert kit (model # AG34IK, sold separately). It can also function as a free-standing classic stove with cast iron Queen legs by adding the optional leg kit (model # AG34LK, sold separately). Finally, this gas firebox can be purchased with the unfinished oak mantle kit to add a fireplace mantle to any wall and room (model # AG34MK, sold separately).

Can not use due to carbon monoxide. I thought a vent less heater could be a problem but my sontalked me into this purchase. By the time this was installed it was already past the return expiration date.I wondered why there would be such an limited return date but understand now. By the time you find outit emits carbon monoxide it is too late to return and your out over a thousand dollars.Do not make the same mistake as me. Do not buy this product.

Nice little fire place. But come damaged. Fitting was broken off in gas valve. Igniter was broken. Base of cabinet was bent. Unit is not useable. Now I’m told it is non returnable. Not very happy. Going to see if it can be repaired today. It was a waste of money if not. Revised Nov. 13/02. Finally talked to customer service.( which took a while) .got a very helpfully person. Sent me a replacement. Arrived in Perfect condition. Works great. Finally. Thanks to customer service!

We loved to gas fire place insert. It came damaged in several places. The damages rendered it unsafe to use.
