Vorteile: Stabile Bauform ( Ständer), mit genügend Abstand zw. Flamme und Topf selbst, damit sehr gut z. B. für die Käse, sodass nicht angebracht wird.Achtung, sehr starke Brennleistung dafür braucht Topf mit dickem Boden, jedoch gut regelbar.Brenner lässt sich einfach in paar Sekunden nachfühlen ( wird schnell kalt) und ist sofort wieder einsatzbereit, was für uns Hauptgrund für die Beschaffung war (unser zweiter Gasbrenner)Nachteil: kein integrierter Zünder, wenn also z. B. zu toll zugedreht wird, soll ein Feuerzeug in der Nähe da sein, steht aber auch klar in der Beschreibung

Man hätte den Rechaud noch etwas liebevoller designen können, aber im Großen und Ganzen passt das Aussehen. Die Pebo von Bodum macht auch eine gute Figur auf dem Teil. Der Brenner liefert eine ordentliche Hitze, also könnte man das Wasser mit dem Teil auch erhitzen. Ich koche das Wasser jedoch elektrisch und setze den Brenner nur für den Brühvorgang selbst ein. Grund ist dass der Brenner Unmengen an Feuerzeuggas verbraucht, das macht wenig Spaß. Und der Brenner ist nicht ganz dicht, nach einen Tag ist das Ding auch ohne Nutzung leer.Ich habe den Rechaud + Brenner trotz dieser deutlichen Schwäche behalten da ich ihn nur sehr selten und nur für das Brühen nutze. Als Standalone Lösung oder für intensive Nutzung ist das Gerät wegen des hohen Gasverbrauchs nicht sinnvoll, dann sollte man die Kanne lieber auf die elektrische Heizplatte stellen und sich den Rechaud sparen.

When I came across Bodum's Pebo I loved it because it does indeed make fantastic coffee but when I added this kit to it, it looked and felt spectacular for about a year. The burner however is a very outdated model, it only survived 1 year which is disappointing. It's impossible to abuse it so it's just the fact that the model itself has the probability of failing.What happened was the knob you twist to control the gas flow after constant twists back and forth over a 360 day period becomes loose and just recently it became so loose and wobbly it failed to stop the gas now so it leaks cannot function safely anymore. This model is not in stock in Australia, it cannot even be replaced or repaired so it's considered an antique or shelf object to decorate with because now it's unsafe to use! Bodum did not also have a stand included to place the burner on when you re-fill it. The most likely reason the knob failed is because from day 1 you had to twist it very firmly as the model leaked gas on a slight amount.It was not used alot, mostly once or twice a week at the most. I love the appearance and feel of it, like i said it's a complete shame the burner is now faulty and outdated, it needs to have a stand to help you re-fill it and a built in igniter. I have spent 120 dollars and it cannot be returned or repaired so I am stuck with it as is. Maybe bodum might get to work and re-develop a new burner, the stand itself is fine, it dose not need any modifications. Until then I will try out the BlueFire bunsen burner kit which is suitable for this sort of brewing.

tres bon produit bien emballé mais c'est dommage que les cartouches de gaz ne soient pas fournies en lotcela a retardé notre test... tres bien adapté par contre à la cafetiere
