even with the volume up all the way you still can not hear the speaker

I hardly could hear the sound. Plus there was a buzzing sound in the speaker.

I cannot imagine how this product could be any more cheaply made. The one that I received didn't even work. I double checked the plug-it's the right size.I wanted a speaker to put under my pillow so I can hear my morning alarm, so quality of sound is unimportant to me. I thought that a cheaper speaker would serve my purpose. WRONG. This speaker won't even work to create a loud, jarring noise.I am returning it for a refund.

I’ve been happily using mine for a year now. No complaints. Just ordered my husband one. Sound is fine, plenty loud enough at half volume on my iPad. Nice low tones, clear sound.. Not tinny sounding.
