This is the keyboard controller which is used by so many, and there's good reasons. It's one of the most capable units available and rivals many of the more expensive keyboard controllers.

Packs alot of function in a small package. The keys feel really nice. Avoid the 1.0.4 firmware.

Keys feel great to use and the hardware is relatively plug and play with all software I've thrown at it. Quickly became my favorite 'instrument' to play in my little office studio setup.

This model compared to the original Keystep is well worth the extra price for untalented or still learning musicians, I'm guessing I'm both, who want to get into electronic music making. The chord mode and strum can add some great effects with simple singular note presses, and the scale you set makes sure you can't hit a wrong note! Just get it, it's built SOLID, feels great to use, and if you go from computer to proper synths, the various jacks on the back are all there to make it a great controller outside of just being a usb device.

This is a great product. However, the keyboard forces you to register it in order to download the drivers off the website (my PC would not recognize the device without the drivers). The whole process is a waste of time, but the keyboard itself works without any flaws. There is latency, but that is more of a ASIO or DAW problem.

I will preface with : This is my first MIDI keyboard.I have been producing music (non professionally) for over 3 years now. I have always used my keyboard as my MIDI input device. I know basic-intermediate music theory and can mess around pretty well on the piano. I did NOT REALIZE how useful it would be to have a MIDI keyboard during my production sessions. I love it!Here are my Pro's and Con's. Keep in mind these are through the eyes of a beginner when it comes to any kind of major hardware.Pros:Compact size and very light37 Keys is the perfect amount for meArpeggiator is really nice and pretty intuitiveKeys have a pretty nice weightChord function is fun and the strum feature helps add a lot of depth and character to simple progressionsDesign is very pleasing to look at.Love the touch pitch and mod wheel on the sides.PRICE!!!Cons:Spacing between keys can make it hard to play wider chords. (fingers get stuck between black keys)A little challenging to get the hang of the sequencer and use it efficiently.Overall, amazing product at an amazing price. I love the device and will be using it for a VERY long time routinely during all of my production sessions. From the perspective of a beginner, I would wholeheartedly recommend this MIDI keyboard to all!

This is a MIDI Controller, not a “Keyboard” so if you don’t already have a proper power supply for it.... you probably are buying the wrong item. High quality construction... nice weight to the keys; plenty of great YouTube videos that show how to use it and it is a very popular controller for many professional sound designers. Doesn’t come with a power supply however it has a USB dual power input as well so.... it kind of does. The sequencing ability is very cool, as is the ARP and Chord generator. The reseller got it here before the due date! Very impressed all the way around...
