The ART Splitcom Pro can split a single microphone signal into two outputs or combine two microphone signals into one output. As a Splitter: The SPLITCom Pro provides one direct-coupled output and one isolated output from a single microphone. Applications include sending the direct output to the main or FOH mixer, and the second isolated output to a monitor or recording mixer. The main mic output passes phantom power from the main mixer to the main mic input for use with condenser microphones. Phantom power is blocked from passing to the isolated mic output.

Very pleased. I regularly record audio of my solo piano/vocal performances, and use this to send my vocals to both the PA and a portable recorder. The splitter is reliable and good quality. I’m not an audio engineer so I don’t know if it’s major-label live-album quality, but I’ve been very happy with the results.

But it works great. I use it to take a personal monitor feed then send the isolated DI to the front of house engineer. For a small solo artist setup it’s great to get control of my mic monitoring.

It's doing the job a much more expensive product does, and it's doing well. I have a weird use case, where I need one mic for 2 different computers simultaneously, and even with different impedance, it is functioning as advertised with very little additional gain required on either computer. For those who want to know, I am using a Fethead with Phantom power from the primary interface, and it is powering an SM7B with plenty of headroom on both interfaces (less than half the available gain on either).

I use this for voiceover and A/B comparison (trying out a processor/preamp). I was looking at other options (JS-2 at a premium price) but I saw this in regular use at a well-known cartoon studio I worked in and decided to give the ART ProSplit a try.I've not detected any colorization of my mic audio and zero noise/hum/distortion added from inserting this box into my signal flow. I've never needed the ground lift or input pad. It's an EXCELLENT value for what I've gotten out of it.I go from my mic into the ART; then into my USB audio interface with one channel set to nominal levels and channel 2 set to -12 lower. When recording at home, I arm and record two separate channels. That way I can record or stream important takes to another studio or my DAW software. If I get too loud I can usually rescue any clipping in my DAW using clean channel 2 audio, sans clipping. This comes in handy with video game and cartoon projects where whispers and screams can range pretty widely in a take. It's already saved my bacon!

I used this with a Presonus rack mount system and JBL Subs/Mains. The way I utilized this is I sent an AUX feed to this unit, then split it to each of the subs. This way I could only send the low stuff (Bass Drum, Toms, Bass, Keyboards) to that channel. This kept all of the bottom end out of the mains which really helped keep the sound super clean and crisp. No more muddy stuff over the vocals and guitars. I highly recommend.

Great product. I bought two of these. My drummer uses them to take his 2 tom mics and put them thru one channel on the mixer, and with the other he takes his 2 overhead mics and uses this product to go into one channel. Saves space on your mixer, especially when you can combine signals from 2 mics that are essentially picking up the same type of sound. These work really well. Great value.

I am using this to create my own personal monitor system (tired of haggling with the sound guys for the proper levels. I split my mic with it and send through a preamp to my wireless transmitter. This device works perfectly. No interference, sound quality is great and no detectable signal loss. If I were going to improve it I would say perhaps they could make the labeling a bit clearer because in a low light gig environment it is a little difficult to read, but overall a very good product.

Nice splitter. Seems to be well built. Perfectly quiet with the isolation transformer. Solved my problem of sending the audio signal to both a live mixing board (Allen&Heath) and a recording interface (Ctrl 24 board) with excellent results. The isolation transformer also allows you to send phantom power to a mic (if needed) and isolating that power from returning to the split side. I bought 6 of them and I would reccommend them to anyone who needs to split an audio signal and is concerned about the technical problems associated with doing that. This solves those issues nicely. I would have given it 5 stars if they were designed to be attached to each other horizontally and rack mounted. Their design allows you to "stack" them (verticle) nicely though and this could be a plus if your splits are at different locations around the studio or stage.
