Update: STILL a fan! Been through a few rounds of hoof trimming; I started carrying these around with me to cut small branches, etc. and they still have a super sharp edge. So TOTALLY worth it. I love these things so much -- I misplaced them yesterday and was very very cranky until I found them...I was a little hesitant to buy these as they were almost double the price of the other brand of hoof trimmers I have purchased in the past…WELL worth the price! Much better quality and they cut through my goats’ hooves like a hot knife through butter. Hey heavy duty and great action. Highly recommend.

If you're like me and thought all "red-handled" timmers were the same. It's time to learn what you've been missing out on. Clearly, you're reading hoof trimmer reviews, so you're probably sick and tired of trimmers that go dull or rust after just a few uses. The ARS trimmers are what you've been looking for. They really do slice through hooves like nothing I've ever experienced.In fact, you need to be careful! I've been using crummy trimmers for so long that I wasn't prepared for how deeply these can cut on a single pass, and I accidentally over-trimmed and needed to use clotting powder. Sturdy and solid in the hand, no twisting or getting hung up on hard hooves. You can tell these are a well made quality trimmer.

We raise sheep. 🐑 A lot of sheep 🐑 🐑 🐑. These trimmers are sharp and work quickly and are easy to handle. GREAT PRODUCT! Well worth the price!

I bought several cheaper trimmers that kept wearing out quickly or did not trim well. I finally bought these and they are the best! Makes the tough job of trimming goat hooves just a little easier and they haven’t worn out yet! I should have bought these in the first place.

Excellent quality and feel like they are made to last. I use these to trim my goats hooves. I dread trimming hooves not because it's super difficult, because every set of trimmers I have had just don't do the job. I purchased and used these trimmers on some very over grown and neglected hooves. These guys cut right through like butter. I am very impressed with how well they worked. I no longer dread the task of trimming hooves. My goats are much healthier and happier now that I do not dread the chore and its a quick and easy process. Hopefully I can do a follow up review for longevity and I'm curious to how well they will work in the drier month's when hooves are a bit harder from being dry.
