Cooking great brown rice was a pain until I purchased this cooker. It makes perfect brown rice and is great at steaming vegetables. Also is excellent for cooking steel cut oats. It's easy to use, clean and a great value for the money.

This little cooker is great for rice, grains and steaming. That said, I found a recipe for banana cake on Aroma's website, followed the directions to a "T" yet the finished product was a soggy mess! The amount of condensation on the lid makes me skeptical that any other type of cake or cheesecake will result in the same wet and un-edible product. In just a week, I have used this for a number of recipes and am shocked to see little to no condensation in the tiny reservoir designed to capture just that. Maybe it's the low price resulting in subpar performance that I should accept. I really had hoped this little cooking aid would perform all tasks with equal positive results.

TLDR - just get it, it’s worth it :)I’m in student housing so I really didn’t want to have a mountain of pots and pans that I’d have to wash and find space for. I wanted one compact thing that I could cook everything I needed in and this is it!! So far I’ve made pancakes, white rice, brown rice, oatmeal, pasta, and a bunch of fried stuff and I’m really looking forward to making soup, I haven’t gotten around to it yet but I know I can. This is hands down the best purchase I’ve made since moving for college and I got it on sale for black friday, but honestly it would have been worth it even without the sale. Also I’ve had it for over 4 months now and I used a metal spoon for a while at first and it’s got almost no scratches, this isn’t to say that you can use metal utensils with this thing! But it does mean that it’s got some good quality coating and if you take care when washing and using silicone or wooden utensils, it’ll be good for a long long time.

This made a great gift. It's versatile, easy to clean and makes mealtime a breeze. It was given as a gift and the recipients loved it. A meal time favorite, We think it's better than a crock pot! It's not just for rice. Get creative. We gave the cook book along with it and the mealtime possibilities are endless. .

Perfect size to serve two people. Cooks rice really well and keeps it warm for a really long time. The inner utensil is easy to clean as the rice does not stick on it. And no chance of buring as the timer works perfectly based on the weight of the rice you put.

First, I love this rice cooker. It is sleek looking and small enough to be out of the way while still having a decent capacity. Secondly, do not put unwashed rice into this cooker unless you are doing a very small amount. You will have pasty starchy rice water all over the place. Lesson learned. It also makes for an annoying clean up job on the inner rim of the rice cooker, since it's not like you can dunk it in the sink. However:The functions are great, it works well, and it cooks the rice exactly to perfection. Usually what I do is rinse my rice 5 times before measuring the water for cooking. Comes out perfect every time. I prefer a long grain jasmine rice, 1.9 to 1 ratio of water to rice (you wouldn't think doing 1.9 vs 2 would make a difference, but it does).And then it's as easy as pushing 2 buttons! Love it and love that I don't have to boil water to make dinner during the hot summer months. Wonderful appliance that I plan to use for years to come.

Bought this to replace my aunt's generic 1 button ye old white rice cooker with the scratched up inner bowl. So far it's been great at cooking white rice (jasmine, basmati, and Japanese rice varieties), quinoa, white rice and quinoa mix, and brown rice (haven't used it for other things). there's a countdown when it's about to finish and then a musical tone will play. and then there's a count-up after it's done indicating how long it's been done. hasn't burnt the bottom of my rice either.it's the usual - measure the rice, place in bowl, wash, place in rice cooker, and press the button. the only thing you really have to watch out for is 1) it takes a while longer to cook rice so budget an hour for the whole thing and 2) there's a high chance of ricey water coming out from the top lid if you forget to put the black plastic knob thing on the underside of the lid (in my picture I had washed the black plastic thing and the water collector so they're not in the picture).otherwise it's been a great rice cooker for me. really set and forget especially since cleanup's a breeze - I remove the black plastic thing and the water collector and rinse those, then just wipe the underside of the lid and keep it open to dry.

Es más pequeña de lo que esperaba perooooo la relación calidad precio es muy buena. Ocupa menos espacio y eso es bueno. Y funciona perfectamente. La caja principal (no la de la arrocera)llego abierta pero el aparato estaba en perfectas condiciones, el embalaje de afuera fue el que se abrió. Entregaron antes de tiempo.

Rice cooker quit working after 20 months. They tried telling me it's due to a dent. There's no dent. Also told they don't stand behind their warranty outside of the US. I wouldn't recommend.

I received a defective unit that imploded and was promptly sent a new unit that works great.All of the settings work as you’d expect with the exception of the oatmeal setting that in my opinion does not cook the oatmeal enough, forcing you to cook it 2-3 more times on the cycle which takes an agonizingly long time.But I mainly use this thing to cook rice, and for that purpose this machine is excellent and I am very happy with its ease of use, performance and reliability.
