You get what you pay for. Works great, easy enough to install with 2 people. I bought one that was slightly too small for my car, but i managed to get it on with minor modifications. Make sure you get the right size, because you won't be able to buy an extension. Fuel mileage did go down about 3-5 mpg. Windnoise is a bit loud especially on the interstates and highways, but nothing that music can't drown out. I would suggest painting over it with some truck bed liner for additional weatherproofing. I bought mine last year and it has been on my car through the summer and winter weather. It is holding up pretty well, only a bit of rust on a screw that I forgot to paint.

This rack and cargo net worked perfectly for my 9hr family road trip to Phoenix. I recommend also supplementing it with a cargo strap or two. Some of the reviews complained about the wing nuts that protrude slightly above the rack. Yes, they are there and like that to make removing and putting the rack back on simple enough to do without tools or running boards to stand on. A blanket or padding covering the wingnuts will prevent any damage, obviously. It's a well-designed utility rack that will fit snugly to your crossbars, and will be easy to remove and stowaway when not needed. You can also easily remove the "leaf" to make it 43" instead of the 64" if needed.

We bought this cargo carrier to keep our vehicle from getting over crowded since we have a little one and sometimes he can require extra stuff plus it worked well when bringing extra stuff home that we purchased on our trip. We have done roughly a 1000 mile round trip so far and it held up great!! I do a lot of due diligence and spend quite sometime in research before I make a purchase that I hope to get plenty years of life out of, and I can say that this product is very sturdy and built well. I read were a lot of people had issues with water, and parts rusting so when I was assembling I had a tube of clear, waterproof, silicon caulking that I used to fill each end of the tube at least a few inches in so when I slid the pieces together there was no way water would get through. I also made sure each bolt hole was covered as well so when I bolted it together silicone would purge from the holes so I knew I had water proof sealed bolt holes. Then I just wiped away the excess silicone caulking so it left no mess on the frame. Instead of purchasing a bag to put stuff in I bought two heavy duty tarps so I could cover whatever shape of items I was hauling (plus it was cheaper). The netting came in handy to keep the tarps and their corners from moving around and I used a few ratchet straps to keep the load secure as pictured. The brackets I installed so the nuts were on the bottom facing my roof, so whenever I made stops I could check to make sure they were tightened and you can’t get to them if the nuts were facing upward since the cargo would be sitting on them. I also took a medium sized pair of pliers with me to give the nuts a few extra turns when tightening but being careful not to brake anything. Overall definitely a great purchase and would highly recommend this carrier to anyone looking to purchase one.

I loved that is rack can be configured to multiple lengths and that is it quite strong. Assembly was easy and you will want to recruit a friend to help you lift it onto your roof. Securing the rack was very straightforward and the impact on gas mileage was nominal. It does create some wind noise, but nothing concerning or irritating...after a few minutes we all just tuned it out and don't really notice any more. The Cargo nets work great, and because of the cage design, you can also use any bungee or strap in almost any configuration. Great roof rack, great price!

This roof rack is a great product! It has served its purpose well for the last 18 months with little wear or sign of usage. This rack is a very durable rack that meets the expectations given off by the product description. At a price of $149.97, it is one of the cheaper products within the cargo roof rack genre.Positives I bought this roof rack in May of 2016. I had the intent of putting it on top of my SUV to hold the spare tire as well as cargo when I go on road trips. Not only has this rack been useful, it makes the vehicle look better, too. I have not removed the rack from the top of my vehicle since I purchased and installed it. So far, it has not given me any problems. It is durable and holds the weight that it is rated for. The extension option is very convenient to hold more cargo while remaining secure and not bending in the center. It attaches very easily to a Chevy Trailblazer and does not move around, even at interstate speeds. The description claims that it has a weight capacity of 250 pounds. I personally have found that it holds up to this claim.Negatives One item of the product features list is the black powder coated finish. This finish is not the product’s top quality. Even after three months, the weld connections of the rack started to show surface rust. The structural integrity of the metal was not compromised. However, it does look tacky with the rust when it is inspected up close. This is just at the weld connections and not on the main beams of the rack. From a distance this is not an issue, as you cannot see the surface rust very well.Overall This roof rack has been a great purchase. It has done what it was meant to do and has improved the look of my vehicle. For the price it is a great buy. Some roof racks can go for over $700 and do the same job as this product. This roof rack is highly recommended and will not let you down when you need to haul cargo around.
