Naturally during a snow cleanup I lost one nolt. And naturally no store nearest me had any. This 6 pack was easy and fast to obtain. Replaced both sides easily and have spares.

The product description identifies these as 53200500 shear bolts, but I received a set of six 73203800 shear bolt kits. No complaints here, they appear to be identical except for the finish. My original 53200500 (at right in the picture) has a gold finish. The new 73203800 has a silver finish.

While I feel like they break too easily, that is their intended purpose so you don't break more expensive snowblower parts. The other good thing about these is that they will more likely be in stock than locally, with the caveat that you need to order them in advance.Too expensive, but a good value for OEM pins compared to most other sources. HD charges over $3 each and other places over $4 each.

I made sure my model was one listed in the ad, and the pins I received fit perfectly.If, perchance, I hot something this winter and the sheer pin doesn't do its job, I'll be sure to update, otherwise it looks good.

These parts are well made and individually wrapped. Nice. Not much to discuss with a bolt and nut I suppose, BUT... make sure model numbers are matchy matchy. Just in case anybody is young or new to snowblowers, shear bolts/pins are designed to SHEAR for a reason. I know putting any bolt that fits in there or a nail and bending it with a pliers seems an easy fix. . don't do it. A few nickels for the right part vs destroying your auger, shaft, gearbox.. refer to the great philosopher Dwight Schrute and his theory of idiocy.

Pin fit perfectly. Right length and diameter. Tighten on the nut and it's done. Easy. Protects gearbox if auger hits a chunk of ice or curbing. It breaks before your gears get damaged. Great transaction and seller. Cheers!
