My biggest problem with these is that the plastic of the flag is not very weather resistant so you need to replace it every couple of years.

One evening I was in a deep slumber dreaming about my mail delivery receptacle. I dreamed about the 40' walk from my from door to the mailbox. In my dream once I begin the walk from my door to the box into retrieve my post and I am surrounded by little alligators standing on two rear legs wearing magenta ballet tutu's while drinking pear juice. At that point I was abruptly woken by a vacuum cleaner salesman at the front door. Once I handled him I decided to buy this mailbox flag to spruce up my mailbox and to perhaps have more wonderful dreams of the tutu wearing , pear juice drinking alligators.

The only part I used from this set was the flag on my old parts. The part that holds the flag up would not hold the flag up so I put all my old parts back on with the new flag. The plastic piece that holds the flag up is supposed to have a small notch in the slot to hold the flag up, but the one I got did not have the notch cut correctly so the flag just dropped back down. Rather than return it I just used the new flag with my old parts. Mine is a Solar Group mailbox and this is the perfect replacement and fits with all the little bumps lining up with the holes. My mailbox is from 1997 and this is an exact replacement.

Horrible instructions, the illustrated parts don't match the actual parts. I had to drill holes using the template that ripped into several pieces (and I was being careful to remove it). Poor quality, flag barely stands up on its own. If it wasn't so cheap I'd ask for a refund but it's not worth my time. I'm only writing this review to warn others, DO NOT BUY!
