I installed these in March 2021 and they are still going strong. The replacements I had before failed pretty quickly and nearly caused the hatchback window to shatter because I had lots of hard equipment in the trunk for transport. Time will tell whether these will last as long as the original Toyota OEM hydraulic struts. However, I do know we've been through cold and hot weather and these are still working fine.One big tip for installation is to have a friend hold the hatch up or use a pillow/shovel combination. You need something to hold up the hatch while you install it correctly. Also, remove debris and anything on the knobs that this system attaches too. This will make the connection more solid and possibly reduce the risk of failure long-term.

I bought them for my yaris hatchback since the were the same dimensions, but these are very powerful so with only one on the boot would open very well with both on , I had to put all my body weight on my boot to make it close, al in all very good product
