i was thrilled to get my strings only to realize they were beginner tension/strength. The product name on amazon is not appreciably indicative of which tension you are getting. very nice feel, almost as tacky as rubber

Hard to review a product given this combination of factors - on the one hand, as strings, I think they sound beautiful. Lively, bright, and vivacious, but somehow ancient, too. Easier to play than the D'addarios I tried before this.On the other, the high E string split and broke during the initial setup with it. It split near the bridge, so I was able to cut it right at the split, flip it around, and was able to still string it up. It hasn't broken yet, but that's really not what you want to happen with a brand new string. It snapped when it was around the B pitch of the 2nd string, so still 2 1/2 steps away from its final tension when it split.

These are, in my opinion, the best sounding classical guitar strings, at least among many others I have tried. They don't last long, but last enough to be worth buying. I keep buying them.

I’m not sure what people like about these strings, but they do not compare well to Augustine Blacks (Which I normally play). I just could not find any redeeming sound out of these… personal preference I am sure.
