いつもはサバレスを使っています。高音弦がグレーでプラモデルぽい色です。最初は戸惑いましたが、色も音も嫌いではないです。サバレスメインですが、時々使わせてもらってます。

I am not a classical guitarist. I am a steel string dreadnought guy and find myself needing to learn some classical guitar stuff for school. I was baffled by how difficult it is to keep a true nylon string in tune. I am thankful that Martin is always thinking of everything and has provided us with a very useable and durable string that stays in tune just as easily as any steel string. The sound is also just as good if not better than its more classic counterpart. My guitar teacher has since decided to buy some of these strings for himself. You will feel like you are playing true nylon strings and they actually hold tuning.

While these strings are well balanced, (neither the bass nor the treble overwhelm each other), I find the trebles lack "sparkle" and the bass strings are dull. This on a Martin. Guitar strings are such a personal choice that I hesitate to low-rate them. Some people may love them. I can just state how I find them for my instrument and my style of playing

The best classical strings I’ve ever used. I was at a guitar center, picked up at $2,300 classical acoustic, played a few scales runs, and holy crap, the high tension makes a world of difference! I immediately went to the staff and asked what the tell these strings are (as they’re grey, not traditional clear, so I knew they were something different). No one could answer the question. The manager even looked up the guitar model to see if he could see what strings they come with… nothing. No one could figure it out. I did some scavenging and finally found these! The best classical strings I’ve ever felt, played, and heard! Get them!

I installed them myself on my Takamine GC-5 classical. I just wanted to see what hard tension strings were like compared to the normal ones I have previously used. Those seem a bit "loose" to me in standard tuning. The three treble strings are black rather than the usual white. When you pluck them you see what they mean by hard tension, but not bad. `They project well, nice and loud. The strings have a dull gloss feel to them which I am getting used to. Next I will try light tension strings but so far I do like these Martins.

My husband just got the tie-end strings for his 40+ yo Pimentel classical, to try something new after many years of using nylon/bronze. He put the strings on in the evening, and went to retune and trim ends and play a bit in the morning. The E string broke near the nut. Boo!

These strings sound amazing on my vntg classical Alvarez. I've used these twice now on that guitar and the quality + sound is unmatched to other nylons I've tried on it. The longevity isn't going to be the same as nickel or bronze strings but that's a no brianer. Plus these sounded great right up until they frayed and snapped. Tbh they are way better built than reg clear nylons and are definitely unmatched by the rich and deep sounds they add to my guitar compared to other brands. Mileage will vary per user but I definitely got my money's worth so.

I was a little surprised at the amount stretching, but owning about 14 ukuleles I should not be. Minimal stretch-in time, great sound out of my 3/4 Ortega Classical. Glad to have found strings that seem to be made for my instrument and my idea of a good sound; not booming but full. So it turns out that it was Martin strings provided what I was looking for. I'll learn to start with the best next time.
