Works great. Little heavier than the all plastic one.

There were no assembly instructions. It required some disassembly to attach the handel pole connecter. I was able to figure it out but instructions would have been helpful

Terrible product, flimsy and poorly built.

The service, as always, was fabulous but the product was not exactly what we had thought it was. We needed a replacement for our pool cleaner and the one online looked the same but was missing a piece where it joined the pole. Our fault perhaps.

After always using a cheap plastic vac brush - and replacing it every 3 years I decided to upgrade. This unit is a bit hard to push - works best for me (vinyl pool) when I pull it. I REALLY miss not having brushes on on it - especially when there is silt in the seams. Unsure if I would buy again or not. Have been using it only since June 2020. It is now end of season and the pool has a winter cover on it. I am trying to retrofit brushes from the old, light duty, vacuum head. I'll send a pic when I get it together and tested. Four things I failed to mention earlier were #1) The hose connector on the head is just a tad small for the standard size hose(s) I have used for years. To help with that I put two layers of aluminum tape on around the barrel part of the connection. It helped a lot when I used but my wife has a problem with it coming off a lot because she isn't of a 'mechanical' mind. I will try a couple more layers of the aluminum tape. in the spring. Also, one end of my hose will rotate. I find that putting that end on the vac connector helped a lot. It was never an issue with the old cheap vac heads. #2) This is a piece made for use in swimming pools. While it looks all nice and shiny I am having a problem with the bolts rusting. It is becoming an issue. #3) The plastic ends that come thru the handle that fits in the pole are 5-6" (memory here) from the end. This is a good this as it stiffens the pole to the fixture very well. However, to take full advantage of that I needed to drill new files thru the pole to accommodate that location. #4) The part that goes in to the pole handle is made of aluminum (maybe potmetal?). This part is layered with a nice shiny 'chrome' plating. The aluminum is now bubbling up, pushing off this layer (I can peel it off in large pieces). Before using it again I will need to take it apart and high speed wire brush the handle insert (at the least) part to clean it up and get the loose chrome plating off. Other than that - its pretty good.

I can't find enough good words to say about this vacuum head. This is the REAL DEAL if you have a pool to clean. it's heavy, made of metal, and the handle is metal as well (versus plastic which gets weak and brittle in the sun). there is also a 'pivot' built in to the handle which allows it to turn to the left and right as you push it (just turn the pool rod) and it glides effortlessly across the pool surface. The one i had in the past at 50% more in cost (from my local pool house that starts with a 'L' and is a common girl's name) was nowhere near as heavy, had a plastic handle, didn't allow for turns (no pivot) and broke after a couple of seasons.this one will last you years. you will not be disappointed. be careful notto drop it on your toe...you might break it (your toe)

Before getting this pool vacuum on wheels, I was plagued with a brush vacuum. The brushes wore down to a nub after about a month, and then the vacuum "stuck" to my pool liner every minute or so. This vacuum on wheels is pleasure to use. It appears to be quality built, and the wheel design has already lasted about 3 months and it still works as good as the day I got it. The 'suction" is a somewhat less than with the brush vacuum, but probably not any less when the brushes were new and the vacuum head was suspended by the brushes. As the brush wore down, the suction increased to the point that it stuck to my pool liner so often that I had to throw it away after a month or so of use. The wheel-vacuum has good suction, and the suction does not change. The rollers (i.e., wheels) are great: they give me a smooth roll over the pool bottom, and work well in the curves and corners. I am very happy. I first gave my rating a 4-star because the suction is not as good as the brush vacuum at its peak, but on balance the suction is more than adequate and is much, much better over time that the brush vacuum. I am going to revise this rating to a 5-star, if it is not to late.- Tom B

Item looked good when it arrived. It had a nice heft. The metal rod seemed solid. But it fell apart the first time I used it. The plastic "y" clip has no tension. It doesn't stay attached to the pole. It dislodged completely and fell to the bottom of the pool! AND the tube for the hose attachment is small. My standard sized hose keeps slipping off. I had to fish the "y" clip and the vacuum base with the skimmer net - the "y" clip nearly impossible to retrieve. And then the nut and bolt that connects the base to the pole attachment is loose! I'm glad it held together long enough where the nut and bolt didn't get lost in the pool! I don't usually post negative reviews, especially for a mom and pop business, but come on! At least field test the product before you send it out. I am going to try to send this back.

Clearly, clearly... by far, this is a superior product to this one that I bought 2 years ago.Swimline 8150 Weighted Flex Vacuum Head, Blue (which is the #1 seller too.)After about 2 years of use that one broke (the wings fell off), but this one has superior construction for 5 bucks more it's so much more quality and what you pay for.Actually I feel they really put in a lot of consideration into this design. The head is aluminum, the wheels are clear plastic, the wheel bolts are metal, but most of all this one is flexible plastic and it's almost twice as thick, meaning its probably less likely to snap or break. Anyways, won't know for sure until after a few years, but i'm feeling this will last a lot longer than the other one.Oh and the swivel head is amazing. how easy it is to manuever the head vs a non swivel head. total night and day.
