First all it is NOT manufactured in the US. It is a product of Taiwan .... Better than China, but still Innovative Scuba Concepts appears to be skirting the truth on this one! Actual component ... 4! Metal buckles (2), Plastic tank lock buckle (1), Webbing and Plastic tank mount/backpack (1 ea). Estimated total price for the components around $20-$30. Unit Price $58 + tax! The straps are very stiff, but once removed and worked out, the became more flexible. Metal Buckles seem to be able to hold fast. In time that may need to be revisited. Plastic tank locking buckle holds well (80) and velcro strap fastener held. Again, in time both will have to be revisited. My main concern was buoyancy without a BC. Haven't been in the water with it yet, logic tells me it will be negative. Need for additional weighting will probably not be unnecessary. For $58 it looks like it will serve just fine for shallow dives and marina work. WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER going anywhere deeper than a free dive depth. I'd have an SMB handy in case additional buoyancy is required to surface.

Received it and just by looking at it the quality is non existent. Will not adjust to a small man. Will not hold an 80 tank. Cheap plastic. I just can't get past me that such a good looking unit in the pictures is built so cheap and poor quality. It reminded me of the good old times.Maybe a small kid can use it. The straps way to hard and cheep. Not adjustable. When it looks to good to be true it usually IS.Can not recommend, sorry guys. It's just plastic bolooney.

Good quality and great price. This might be just the ticket for the smaller tanks, but I could NOT get it to hold an 80 without slipping, but there is space to add a 2nd strap if you have one.

I used these to carry small co2 cylinders attached to pvc pneumatic launchers. They dont come with instructions and you could definitely rig the straps wrong, but once you get it right they are very secure.

I ordered this tank carrier thinking that it would be a nice solution to carrying my scuba tank with me on dive trips.I ended up returning it after one use because it did not meet my expectations for quality, comfort, and safety. The backboard portion is hollow plastic, and I can't see it standing up to repeated use with a heavy scuba tank. The straps are not padded at all, and actually left bruises on my shoulders after carrying my tank.In addition, the shoulder strap assembly and waist strap assembly are all one continuous strap, and they continually shift around when you try to adjust the straps or wear the assembly. The straps were not inserted into the buckles correctly at the factory, which caused the straps to slide while wearing the backpack with the tank in it. This could have lead to the straps coming completely out of the buckle, which could have caused the tank to fall and injure someone.

This sturdy and functional backpack works great. I use it to carry a co2 tank that works with my Dr. Party CO2 gun and because of this backpack I get great use of my CO2 gun.
