The Koi Sock Net is specially designed to safely transfer and handle pond fish, including koi and ornamental goldfish. The soft, coarse, black mesh effectively prevents damage to fish fins and scales. Simply use one hand to close the far end of the open-ended net and slowly move the fish into the net headfirst. To reduce the weight of the net during fish transfer, the mesh will not hold water. The durable rubber-coated handle provides a secure grip and the lightweight frame maximizes maneuverability. A nylon loop is integrated on the handle to make it easy to hang the net for storage.

I really like it, because it protects the skins of my koi

great for moving the koi, but came apart on the left side moving the two real big ones. So not really meant for fish over 28". another 6" on the handle length would be helpful too, but served the purpose of moving 8 large koi stress free and not getting tangled in it.

It's not a bad product, but they missed the mark on a couple things. The handle its far too short and the opening is too small to easily capture larger fish. The netting is good and seems to live up to the hype.

I found this to be a quality sock net. I was using just a very large net previously, but when I had to move a Koi from one pond to another, occasionally they would get stuck, and lose a few scales. This sock net makes it so easy, the way the sock net works, is the back is wide open, you hold it closed with your hands... use a very large "pan shaped" net to lift them up and steer them to the sock net, then scoop the Koi head first into the sock net.Once you do, you can open up the back and the Koi "flows" right out with its scales pointing in the opposite direction it will move out of the net, minimizing friction (near zero really) and reducing stress on the fish.A must have for "ponders."
