I'm setting up a small 20L tank and this light is fantastic 😲Not only brilliantly designed but the 24 hour auto setting is a great bonus for when travelling... excellent amount of light and the colour change from sunrise to moonlight during the 24 hour mode is cool and functional !Highly recommend so far... plants and fish going in soon.

Love the 24 hour mode with sunrise and moonlight. Really wish it was just a bit brighter- though I’m using it as a cactus succulent light instead of aquarium. The plants are just getting slightly stretchy and lost some of the sun stress colours, though not bad for growth as you can see. Timer is working great, perfect size for a 10 gallon tank, love the slim design. Got it on sale so I might get another next time to see if that help with the brightness.

Box was crushed and ripped but the light appeared to be in good condition.I only had the light for a few hours but so far the light is working great. I haven’t had the opportunity to test out the timer functions but they appear simple to navigate through. This is placed a top of a 48 gallon bow front with Platy fish in it. All pictures are at the lowest brightness level. I will update review if anything changes.

I like this light so much I purchased two more. The twenty-four hour timer is excellent, with a dim orange sunrise brightening to full daylight then fading in the evening to a blue twighlight.My only complaint is the lights are too bright and harsh. I have covered them with a piece of white paper to diffuse the light and make it more natural.

Great programmable light. Can be set to come on at early sunrise with very low light and automatically increasing and then decreaseing until senset

So far so good. These lights have far exceeded my expectations. For such a low price you get your money's worth as long as it lasts longer than a year. I have them sitting above the water underneath my tank hood so we will see if the light stands up to the moisture but the description says it's water resistant so it should. All of the features work as intended and the 24 hour cycle is great. Brightness is above average, definitely better than the ones that came with my tank hood. My tank is just over 13 inches wide and this light fits very well. If this light holds up I will be buying more!

I like how it changes through the day. Nice and bright, easy enough to set up. Hard to tell of the fish are happy, I hope so.

This is a great light so far! I have a tall tank and had to get something smaller but with good output. This light JUST fits my tank. My tank has a lid and I will end up doing some custom modifications for everything to work together. Trying the 24/7 auto timer was a bit confusing but I found the YouTube instructions for it that explained everything in a really easy way to understand in less than 1 minute! I had also attempted the Bluetooth pairing but it didn't work. I found the Bluetooth upgrade App and it found the light to update it, but after the update neither the updater app nor the Gamalta Light App could find my light anymore. Not a big deal as I managed to figure out the 24/7 timer.After setting the 24/7 timer I really like this light even more! I didn't realize how important a quality light is for the plants in my aquarium till now as well. On the brightest setting, the light easily penetrates to the bottom of my tank and my plants should do much better because of this. But what was interesting is even on lower settings, I find the lights still penetrate much deeper than my cheap lights that came with my tank. Hoping my plants respond well to these upgraded lights!

I purchased this lamp because of its timer capabilities and different kind of light sequence. The expandable arms work great to fit on top of my tank. I cannot get the timer to work properly. If I set it up for 10, 12 hours it will turn on at the brightest light setting even though I had previously set it at a lower light setting. The only way I can keep the light setting I like is to turn it on every morning. I do not recommend this light

If you can get it programmed, this light is great. However, the design of the power cord inline controller, and the instructions for how to use it, suck. (Full disclosure: I have an IT background and consider myself a UX dweeb; I have a website devoted to the usability of medical software.) When I first got it, after reading the instructions, I was able to get it to the automatic 24-hour cycle. But then we had a several-hour power outage, and my wife found the lights shining brightly at 11 PM and simply pressed the power button to turn off the lights. This morning, I realized I needed to reset the timer for the 24-hour cycle. In the spirit of "if a door needs a user manual – even a one-word user manual – it's a design failure" I grabbed the inline controller and tried to figure out how to reset it. Press the 24-hour button? Did nothing. Press it several times? Did nothing. Maybe I need to press the 24 hour button and then the very flat 8 AM button? Nothing. Read the user instructions… didn't help. Looked on this page for more help… couldn't find any. OK, just press buttons at random to see what works. Finally figured it out.Press on/off button to turn unit on (essential) > press 24-hour button > wow, that "8 AM button" is a light that lights up! > press the 24-hour button a few times as those buttons (really lights) cycle through the day until I get back to 8 AM being lit > I'm back in business.**** UPDATE *** just a few days after purchasingI have upgraded my rating to 5 stars. The company contacted me about my concerns, right away, in a respectful way. I did offer specific recommendations for improving the user instructions, which they said they would use in the next revision of their instructions. They also offered a partial refund, which I declined, as I thought it would taint this review update. I will also add that now that I have discovered how it works, the user interaction design seems pretty simple. In UX terms, not very discoverable but very learnable and memorable. When the power goes out, and I reset the timing for the 24 hour cycle, it's really quite easy now that I know how. I did put a label on the aquarium as a reminder but it's really pretty superfluous once I showed my wife how to do it. It is a "see one, do one, teach one" sort of skill. But then, I found out that someone – not me – had requested a replacement unit. I had no problem with the unit, just the instructions. I received the replacement unit without my request and was going to give it away until amazon demanded I return the original. Despite an hour of trying, I was unable to contact amazon to let them know this was a spurious return; I would end up at a dead end with both the text chatbot and the voice chatbot where none of the options applied. One star for amazon.com's customer service.

My actual rating is 4.7 ⭐️s. This size light fit perfectly for my purposes - 48” length 55 gal tank. Installation was super easy (one wire connection and end brackets). The light was up and programmed in less than 10 min.There is versatility in lighting options and the light can be customized. My fish like the simulated daylight cycle. The blue moonlight cycle has definitely conditioned them for sleeping purposes.I confess to dropping this light and while I would not recommend trying this at home for repeat results, there is no damage visible or in practical use.I give the remote ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because it is not truly a “remote” control, it is an in-circuit control as it is wired into the light. I will say that the incorrect use of “remote” in the control descriptions was pretty common in this particular product with several brands making the same mistake.On thing I wish this and other products like this would have - little rubber washers to push into place to keep the end brackets at a certain measurement and keep the light more stable when working in the aquarium.
