Change every 6 months and it catches a significant amount of sediment and rust out of the city water supply. Seems to work as effectively as the 3x more expensive Pentek RFC-20BB filter.

I’ve been using these carbons for several years now they do a great job of clearing up the water. I use surface well water, and this takes out any contaminants that may get in quality product. Good price recommended

I have always used the structured cellular filter cartridge. I was surprised that this filter is string wound. It is less expensive but seems to be working. We get black residue a sediment out of our well and this filter is catching it.
